Yeah. During the firefly case Haibara said that the serial murderer was part of the BO and was supposed to be one of the first human beings that the APTX should be tested on. But because he escaped, they couldn't test it.
Probably a reason why they used it on Shinichi instead too But yes. It's still a great risk to use the poison on Shinichi without knowing the effects of the APTX for sure.

But Akai could take the APTX even tho there is just a small chance that he'll survive and shrink. Just because it's suicidal doesn't mean it's impossible.
In Camels case, he also risked his live when they wanted to get Kir back into the BO. This means that the FBI would risk their lives in order to take down the BO.
More of a question would be, how Akai got some APTX if he really did take it imo.

Also not enough time has passed. Also we know Eisuke, and unless he was a fantastic actor and played everybody for fools and was actually a martial arts master when he was around, I don't think it could be him.

Oh silly Prof.... TKD = The way of kicking and punching... You refer to the sport style... There is a military style that is much different and much more effective. 

But really, I don't know why they specifically chose TKD... I'd assume it is a case of availability and effectiveness...

I was aware of combat style, I've seen secret service training but even then it's the kicks are a bigger focus (that could be due to gun laws but w/e).

It just came off as a strange choice for a group like the CIA, it probably is availability.

They choose it maybe because it requires strength and swiftness to be in the CIA and TKD is a martial art which need  those qualities  so they used it to train members of the CIA

Back to topic:
Maybe it's Eisuke whom discovered that he was a master of jeet kune do (which maybe he inherited it from his father )  after the FBI changed his identity  ???
or he just happened to train with a master of jeet kune do  8-)

Strength and swiftness, well you're right that's uncommon in martial arts and is totally not general .
