Lol. No shit Shinichi wasn't an item to be won, and I literally admitted to knowing that it was decided years ago. You took my words way too seriously. Please get over yourself. I can't even point something out on this forum without being hammered by some people. Jesus.

Perhaps you need to take your own advice to heart as well. Just a thought, though.
Communication is a tricky subject. Sometimes it doesn't work and your text is taken differently than how you intended. It happens! No need to get worked up about it.
File 1005 looks very promising. It's completely out of the blue. Judging from the chapter, my ratings of the identities have drastically changed. It looks like this:
1. Rumi: Asaka (80%), secret agent like MI6, etc (20%), Rum (0%)
2. Wakita: Definitely involved in the plot with the use of phone this time. He's 100% NOT Eisuke 2.0, appeared and plunged into oblivion. My bet on this character is; BO member but NOT Rum (85%), Rum (3%), and a random bad guy (12%)
3. Kuroda: Tsutomu's friend (75%), Tsutomu (0%) since I think Tsutomu is dead already, Rum (0%), Asaka (0%) and secret agent (25%) like Ethan's friend but he's definitely NOT a regular police officer. I think he's Tsutomu's friend because he was involved with the aftermath of Kouji case.
4. Mary: Asaka (15%), Rum (0%), MI6 (85%). I say she could still have 15% chance of being Asaka is because Asaka looks female, and she could totally look like that, or undergoing some drug to look as young as the real Asaka in the picture. She's like 55 now, so 17 years ago she's around 35-38 I assume....We haven't seen Asaka's upper part of the face, so, we can't be 100% sure on this.
5. Iori: Rum (0%), random bad guy (90%) and a grey char like Bourbon (10%). Not exactly like Bourbon, but has controversial behaviors all around.

Actually, it's now been 20 years since she first appeared (not counting the File 16 silhouette) in the manga.

How big do you think are the chances, that Heiji might be in File 1006, if Gosho doesn't let some days pass after this case?
He probatly drove Conan back to Tokyo, which would have taken at about 5-6 hours. (Considering he didn't put him on the Train in Osaka.)
The Shinkansen Trains only needs about 3 hours from Kyoto to Tokyo.
So if he's in Toyko, he probatly stays overnight, considering that a long Bike Trip is really tiresome....
I think they're small. Heiji usually doesn't go to Tokyo without his gf, so it would be strange if he were there without her. I'm not sure / don't remember if Ran saw him, but if she did, then it would be double trouble for him.

When I am dead and gone the day won’t be so long.
But if he stays at the Professor's place and gets up early to drive back, it could actually work.
I was just thinking about it, since he now knows that Sera is aware of Conan's Identity, so he might want to discuss it.
Plus, come to think of it, he hasn't met Subaru/Akai yet.
But yeah, I also think the chance is quite smalll.
If Conan would be written by someone else than Gosho, then they surely would talk about that. Heck, maybe they even would invite Sera considering that Conan knows that she is a sister of his best ally, and that he already met her on the beach (and that he's curious about Mary). But it's Gosho so they won't talk about that at all.

More like, by the time he will let them talk about it, the potential that such a talk once had will be seen as utterly wasted.

True, the best time for such a talk is now. Not only Conan would benefit from it (he would get an answer for some questions), but also Sera (dhe would get to know about the antidote). But that might happen after a long while when people partially will forget about that.
But what maked me wonder in this chapter is how Mary said that if she had the antidote, she would stop moving from a hotel to hotel. Which can be read that dhe would not need to live in hiding anymore. Which means that whoever is after Mary, they're after a child and not an adult person. Which makes me wonder what did she do as a child that she needs to stay in hiding and/or who is after her that they don't know that Mary is already an adult person, and have to look for a child.

Not "forget," more like, "the gap between these references and direct connections between scenes was so long, it seemed that the author forgot about it." With DC and its pacing, it's mostly a question of just when Gosho will get to something, not if... but, again, by the time we find out just when is, it'll be seen as too late.

I personally think that it has something to do with her getting her adult body back, since as Conan mentioned at the beginning of DC, his mind is still able to capture bad people/solve cases, but since he is small he does not have the strength/abilities to e.g. fight or chase a culprit (which led to the need of Agasa's inventions). So maybe she can't do much in her child form, but can fight in her adult form and use weapons more properly + something with her MI6 team too.
