I think most people do use the thumb when using a mouse... I use a the touch pad of my laptop and use my thumb to click the left button while I control it with my pointing/index? finger but I might be weird (actually very weird sinc eI open my laptop the maximum it can and use it laying on my bed resting the border of the keybord on the border of my ribcage and using only a finger or a wrist to maintain it uprigt
TMI, right?).

I use my index and middle fingers when using a mouse. My thumb is always to the left side of it, though.

You're just strange for not using a mouse to use a mouseDus wrote: No, I don't use a mouse to use my mouse. Unfortunately, I don't have one here, but I thinkmy thumb barely touches the side of the mouse, if at all. Doesn't seem like a safe bet.
That's what I meant :V You still have to touch the mouse with your thumb at a certain point.Commi-Ninja wrote: I use my index and middle fingers when using a mouse. My thumb is always to the left side of it, though.

I'd like to point out that this guy was a President of a company. He has an optical mouse. He has a widescreen monitor. However, that monitor is only as big, or smaller, than his keyboard. This means he has like a 19" monitor. What kind of useless company president is he?

i constantly use my thumb on my mouse since i have 3 button on the left side of it... and even if you don't have one.. you would still use your thumb to navigate more accurate or at least keep the accuracy with a higher speed... just tried without thumb... feels awkward and unnatural

Trackball would make sense, but that would have been mentioned, it's not like it's standard. Not that it matters where exactly the poison was, as long as it's something to do with the PC.
The mouse has the advantage that you definitely can't avoid using it, while with the space bar it's a bit safer to get the poison on just the thumb.

I personally do use the thumb when hitting spacebar, but just as with the piano it is only the "outer part" of the thumb. Unless the thing(cake) I would hold thereafter was soft enough to make my thumb sink into it, it would never touch the poisoned place of my thumb. I would say the mouse is a safer bet. I've never seen one person who doesn't put his/her thumb on the side of the mouse.
If it has to do with pc/mac, the mother is very suspicious. As mentioned before, brands seldom appear in this manga so it may be connected to the case.
Or it could be advertisement, but I don't think anyone would be tempted to buy a mac because a main suspect uses one.

While this optical illusion for the cake seems a bitobscure, it ties in with an overall theme, so I'm game.
The thing about the tiles definitely seems to be correct. I still find it suspicious for the widow to refuse to use the PC. There must be something behind this, Gosho wouldn't just throw it in for lols and giggles.
"secretary" for the dying message makes sense, if it was a name it's more likey that he would have used a kanji, since everyone's names start with an s. I might look further into this later this day.
