Who do you want to find out Conan's identity?

i really want Eri to know it... she already is at a point where she seems really confident with most of the things conan does during investigation or is at least aware of its importance, furthermore i would like her to know the truth behind her husbands fame... i think she really doesn't understand how he became so capable from one day to another... but mostly i like how the two of them interact already... so..

i don't want either sonoko or the DB finding it out... they are blabbermouths and wouldn't really get the situation (or so i think), they all think to much about their own "fame" before thinking about their safety (e.g. twomix kidnapping although quite old)

That's actually kinda the exact reason I want it to happen  I'd like to see them actually not be blabbermouths...because it'd be an excellent way to show growth in their characters, and possibly growth in Conan himself if he realizes that other people can indeed keep the secret (though a lot of people do know...not really sure why he doesn't just tell Ran at this point *shrugs*)


...Actually, with Ran finding out, I half expect Heiji to just give up on covering it up and just go "He's Kudo, not some Edogawa Conan! There, are you happy!?"

But seriously, Ran. That would be awesome and add a whole new twist on cases, at least for a while. And would make it far easier to actually build their relationship instead of just having lolcute moments at the end of cases.

But, this as well. If anyone, besides the BO, were to find out and actually cause a disturbance in the DC world, it would be this.

Eri - remembering the first time we see her, this is even quite possible. And she might even be able to tell him how to deal with Ran.
KID - officially I siply hate it that we don't know if he knows or not 
Mitsuhiko - he is mature enough to shut up (especially if Ai tells him to) and he might see their adventures in another light and help convince the other DB that they shouldn't do something.
Oh, and I want someone of the japanese secret police (how are they even called) save him from the bo and tell him that they have known for ages

Somehow, I don't think Kid will ever officially know it in the manga. Remember the Kappa case? Yamamura more or less casually mentions that he's been promoted, without Kogoro, Ran, or Conan having too much of a reaction. This scene works two ways: You can either think, that they already learned about his promition in the film or that they hear of it for the first time but don't make much fuss about it.
You can't do that with a bombshell like Kid finding out Conan's identity, so there will always be ambiguity.

For most part, Ran finding out Conan's identity before the series ends has potential for great bearing on the plot. It would be nice to see Gosho allow Ran to discover Conan= Shinichi instead of ending the series with her knowing nothing.

Takagi knowing, with him being such a frequent police character, might change a few things. The likelihood of this happening seems fairly high, but who knows.

Sera probably doesn't qualify for wishful thinking, since everything that has happened in the manga so far seems to point towards she is on her way to/has already figured out Conan's identity.

On a different note, the Shonen Tantei finding out, while most likely impossible unless such a thing were to occur in a epilogue of sorts, could lead to some degree of character development. But like Sonoko, you can hardly see these characters (aside from Mitsuhiko, perhaps?) appropriately keeping quiet. Even Hattori has a hard time doing so.

Unless Gosho does something like a Kid heist in Canon with Kid dressing as Shinichi while using Conan as reference, as Dus had said, Kid's knowledge would likely remain ambiguous. I don't think Gosho would go as far as to contradict the movies with Kid clearly not knowing Conan's identity throughout the entire manga series.

I believe that Yamamura's promotion has been mentioned before the Kappa case. Back in Volume 63 (Episode 545-546) he mentioned it, which had some degree of reaction. Little reaction, but there was some.

Must have been a different reaction, because it's clear that he has been promoted very recently. Conan even says that this will be his first triumph as an inspector.

The DBs won't find out because that would change the dynamic of DB cases completely. They're supposed to be light-hearted.

Hmm you have a point there. Maybe his knowing will be discreet of sorts and there would just be a scene in the ending or near the ending (when Conan becomes Shinichi again...for good)where he encounters KID again and KID hints he's known all along.

I really want Kazuha to figure it out.  I think she could, after all, when Heiji goes to visit Conan alone he says he was with Shinichi, but Ran would tell a different story.  I think it'd be really interesting to see how Kazuha deals with whether or not to tell Ran.
