Oh, I totally don't fault her. It's just...she suspects and then gives up too early (not blaming her, but I'm watching her go, "No, that's stupid," and I'm screaming "Ran, don't give up yet! Having the fact "forced" on her makes a lot more sense to do in the long run, unless she does figure it out and when it does happen, she'd be all like, "I suspected you were Shinichi, but I knew it couldn't be true because it's impossible for people to shrink, and would just tell myself that I was being silly."
That aside, Conan changing into Shinichi right in front of Ran would be pretty funny. It'd be even funnier if Kogoro was there too to see it. He'd go into sleeping mode without the dart from fainting at the sight. lol
