That might be the cat the lady over the phone kept - it certainly explains why she hung up the phone when the Itakura heard a cat over the phone.Chekhov MacGuffin wrote:Spoiler:

I hate cases in which there's only ONE suspect.

Why isn't Zombie!Shuu one of the options?! It would explain so much!
I have to say this case was hilarious. Especially Kogorou's commercial. I have a feeling that he might have found a profession that truly calls him.
@Chu-chan: Hivemind! xD
It was totally Spy vs Spy! I mean, I recognized it when I saw the picture of the bar of chocolate on like, the first page, but the reference to bombs pretty much confirmed it.
It would be so hilarious if the vice-president was secretly also the Gray Spy. xD

Well... let's make some (more or less reasonable) theories now so Abs can change the poll. (I hope those who voted already can revote then...)
The theories would be:
1) The woman poisoned him after her husband acted like he was breaking down (but was actually fine - both of them knew it was an act).
2) The woman managed to smuggle the poison in/on his glass after he started drinking from it.
3) The woman prepared a poisoned glass/object before the party and managed to make her husband take it.
4) The woman poisoned her own drink and managed to exchange it for her husbands.
5) The woman is not the culprit - she had an accomplice to do it for her.
6) It is was an elaborate BO plot to kill the man - and noone will ever figure out the truth.
Any other suggestions?

I still have an alternative, which might eb possible. I came up with it with Redpoppy, although we haven't agree on which method was used.
AS for me I think the lemon was poisoned. The victim prepoared to play dead, and teh best way to do that and make it real is to eat something sour which he, as it is more or less known, hates and gets sick from it. For the sake of the show however he ate some of teh lemon and wanted to play dead, but sthere was poison there, he died. After that the murderer took away the lemon and pinned it back to the glass.
But this theory is a bit wobbly.
