Only thing that you missed is - Gin have amazingly high health lvl. If you look closely you may noticed that Akai shot him in chest 2 times, but not only it caused only minor bleeding form mouth - he was fine a few moments later. My guess is - he's a Test Subject as well.

I think Akai said he was wearing a bullet proof vest at the time... only the force of the bullet that caused him some damage ^_^

Oh, and Gin is left handed, but he holds the gun with his right hand, so either he trained to use the gun with his right hand, or it's a handicap he gave for his opponent, (not likely, but he might be think, "i can defeat you punks without using my dominant hand") XDD

When Gin was scoping Akai from the top of the building outside of Mouri's place, he has his left finger on the trigger and is using his right hand to stabilize -- same with Akai. Chianti and Korn are right handed and they have their right fingers on the trigger and are using their left hands to stabilize.

Therefore, Gin and Akai are using "left handed style" which means he is not handicapping. (Unless everyone is handicapping which is ridiculous or the art was done backwards)
The only time Gin has been portrayed as right handed is in the first chapter (which is debatable). In the that chapter, he holds the pipe he bonks Shinichi with and the APTX pill in his right hand. By the time you get to chapter 16 which is the next time Gin shows up, he shoots a handgun left handed.

I agree. I bet Khinkhun is from my country, because here we have the ALL arts done backwards *lame ;__;* and in one chapter, some stupid translator stated that Gin held the gun with his right hand  :-\ It's a mis-translation  :'(

Well, alcoholic beverages in general, increases your chances of getting cancer. This is besides the point, but every kind of food and drink made these days seems to have that effect. LOL.

But I think what kirhidemi meant with "strong and deadly" is that the beverage Gin has a very high alcohol concentration. I don't know if that's true because I have no interest in alcoholic beverages whatsoever.

Hmm... Yeah, maybe I did got confused on the left hand right hand thing, considering I have read wayyy too many version of Conan (Reason--- I keep on looking for it when I'm on my trips)

One thing to be noted: Gin does not know and did not know what actions other agents take, which makes the assumptions of the fake Akai implausible, for example Vermouth had always had her own ways for affirmative action. The other important thing is, he believes facts over assumptions therefore even if pictures were taken of "Akai" in the department store, if the person never leaves the building and it is cleared by the police, he will firmly believe that he fled or never was there in the first place
