I'd wish for the woman being Vermouth, since there seem to be two culprits, and the female culprit loves to body switch and isn't exactly the peace-loving kind (much alike BO). And I'm CRAVING for some damn BO members to show up dammit. I don't even care anymore about Shinichi and Ran's love life, which should get some belated boost with this story but which probably won't amount to a thing. In fact, I'd find it interesting if at least ONE couple, and this case even the main couple, would break up! All those childhood friends hooking up until literally everyone in this story has a lover, like it's the most normal thing in the world. Come on Gosho, are you really serious?
Anyway, enough of my ranting. It's most probably Yukiko, since that will give Shinichi a way of escape. And there will be no BO in this story. Neither in the next. And the next one after that. ;_;
Although I keep on praying for that culprit woman who seems to have set up her own death. Please don't expose her, Shinichi, or I'll travel to London to kill you. It's only half an hour from here, so be prepared! >:-/

They had already broken up before the onset of canon time, so that doesn't count.
Now you add conditions into that! But still, it's a childhood couple that is currently not together
Hmph. You can bet my entire fortune on it that they will be back together at the end of the series. I'd actually be astonished if hey didn't. Now that I think about it, Megure seems to be the only smart one who didn't hook up with a childhood friend ... or am I forgetting some people?
And indeed, Haibara/Shiho in London would be an epic fail. It would be like she's ALWAYS around to save Shinichi from his troubles with the APTX. How many times did she already suddenly show up with another pill? Don't make her a plot no jutsu/plotkai.
Other couples I can think of that aren't childhood friends:
Makoto x Sonoko
Akai x Akemi
Satou x Takagi
And well, there is also Agasa that didn't end up with his childhood friend (yet). But there are also couples that aren't childhood friend relationships! And the "childhood friend love" is something like a trade mark of DC/Gosho

Yeah, that's what I was starting to think after reading file 746.
I'd have a hard time believing Shiho would risk flying to London on the off chance that Shinichi took his pill prematurely.

Well, running lovers are quite interesting for many people. XD But serious, if it's really Hestia, I guess showing her is just Gosho's trick to expose the partner of murderer. It's also fantastic way to make fans thinking that the mysterious woman is Shiho, Yukiko etc. Fans are curious to death and Gosho can't stop laughing meanly, because he likes to torture DC fans. XD
Maybe the woman is Agasa's first love, the designer Fusae? She wore that kind of hat last time and she actually lives in GB if I remember right? At least she spoke English with the guy who accompanied her. Also, she predicted it wont take 10years again before she sees Agasa again. Just an idea...

Fusae doesn't live in Japan. I haven't double-checked to see if it was stated where she was from, but it was stated that it was a big deal that she had "come to (visit) Japan"

Fusae is blonde (well light hair at least) and has a different hairstyle. Besides, she's quite old, so she have some wrinkles too. The mysterious woman haven't, so she must be less than 35 years old!
