My Theory About Sera-Ran-Shinichi Love Traingle

Lol am I the only one that upon seeing this topic assumed we're talking about

Sera --> Ran <--> Shinichi?

No, you're not, actually. I was getting stronger vibes in that direction after seeing Movie 18 though. Mainly, because I'd interpret the line "he's the only one who can pierce your heart" and the addition "for now, anyway" as "I could soon be the one in his stead". But I might be too strict with the wording here. It's possible the sentence was meant to be interpreted a bit more loosely. We also have the "you're my type" exclamation at their first meeting. But we don't know how cheeky this is meant to be, either.

I'd find the "Sera is out to get Ran"-version slightly more entertaining, but the thing is... she is talking a lot about Conan as "wizard" and that stuff, stalking him and calling their encouters "fate". Plus, Ran also had her "share" with the "Eisuke incident". Gosho has practically already used up this kind of scenario. Guess it's Shinichi's turn now. The "boyish" attitude might also serve the purpose of having a stark contrast to Ran's character (and maybe make it slightly easier for Shinichi to come up with an explanation as to why he'd reject her).
I'm also not sure what Gosho's stance on Yuri is, haha.

It's clear for me Sera's in love with Conan. She appeared for the first time when Sonoko told Ran "One day a rival might appear you know?", she told Conan, while talking about herself "Do you have a love interest Conan-ku? For example, a girl you met a long time ago, and couldn't forget...". And also her ambiguous "For now, anyway" in movie 18.

She can't be a relative too. Ran had Eisuke, maybe it's Shinichi's turn to have a new character who loves him. Maybe Masumi's going to trigger Ran's confession to Shinichi just like in the London arc.
