Identity of the "Wizard"
Can u really assume it's conan? I mean how come Sera's middle brother trusted Conan (which means he probably know he's Shinchi) but was still asking about the wizard? What if the wizard is Kaito Kid! Gosho Ayoma tries to trick us all the time, remember Sera met Kid only a few chapters before she said this. i was re-watching the Vermouth arc and I noticed that very soon after Mouri's case records were stolen, Aradai sensei was seen saying he had to testify in court, maybe this is Ayoma's way of giving us very difficult hints, at the time very few people would have noticed as we all expected Vermouth to be Jodie at the time, all im saying is that what if there's a twist?

It has been theorized that the Middle brother asked this because Masumi sent him a picture of Conan, who he trusts and might know's is Shinichi. He probably asked that "Have you met the Wizard"? question immediately after to find out if Masumi knew that Conan was Shinichi with out actually telling her that Conan is Shinichi. Her response "You might say that" is probably an indication that she is aware that Conan is Shinichi but that she isn't telling her brother that.bolbol wrote:Can u really assume it's conan? It is assumed that the Wizard is Shinichi (not Conan), because Masumi keeps hinting that she met Conan a long time ago, but Conan did not exist a long time ago. The most likely scenario is that Ran and Shinichi met Masumi a long time ago somewhere near a beach (ch844-6). During that time Shinichi solved something... probably a regular mystery case, or a puzzle... that made Masumi impressed and say "you must be a wizard <3" while wearing a bathing suit (ch905). Ever since then she probably focused on becoming a detective herself. Then she had to move to America, but now she is back. She also seems to hint that she may be in love with Shinichi as she asked Conan if he had a girl that he used to know that he might have loved and looked disappointed when he said no (ch856-8).
The other interesting things that may come from when ever we get this flashback is that that the Middle Brother seems to know who the Wizard is, but we do not know whether he was present at the beach, or if Masumi just told him about it later. The other thing is that Ran seems to recognize the mystery girl who lives with Masumi (ch905) and it is possible that she may have been at the beach in one form or another.
I hope that I can find someway to contribute to the community even if it's just random crack theories and looking things up for people who can't find the information they need.
