This is a wild theory but could Yamamura be an imposter? He doesn't remember about Makoto (who doesn't remember a guy like Makoto?), he doesn't go, "I want to see a Sleeping Kogorou deduction," and he speaks formally (which is unnatural, as Kogorou notes). Of course, it could be his usual absentmindedness?

That's right, it really doesn't seem like Gosho's style to be that simple... I've thought maybe this "second brother" may be just James? And why does Sera write her name under the message? As if her brother didn't know her phone number or something... I find this weird. The fact that Eri heard -nii at the end of the name could have been Sera's aim ; to let them know she's talking with her brother so that Conan asks her later "who is that brother? Is your brother not dead?" and so she would reply "I have a second one". If this guy is James it could be that Sera or James (or both) doesn't want to let Conan know they're in contact.

Has anyone else noticed Conan's questionable fahsion sense? ::)
And Sera and Makoto might need to take some anger management sessions. oO

So I guess the case is somethingabout car exhaust fumes that were somehow about how the water outisde was directed into the sealed toilet cabin or something along those lines... I hope the two women planned/executed this together, we rarely had any double murder(er)s, iirc? =D

Spoiler:
I'd love if there were 2 Okiya's
Think about it. It isn't easy for Yukiko to create a whole new face(Okiya's)
Even Vermouth couldn't create one from scratch(Dr Araide). And even wanted to kill him afterwards.
So if that's the case wont the 2nd Okiya be most likely one of the brothers?

I had the same thought while reading 860. I'm not sure, because it seems kind of obvious if it is true, but it's at least worth thinking about.

Spoiler:
Well there might be a dead Okiya that existed before our Okiya and this one stole his identity. That's what Char did he switched identities with a look alike and the masks and glasses were to hide the fact the two had different eye color. It's all ready hinted Okiya squinting to hide his eyes. Or I can just go back and sit in Gundam time out.

Vermouth didn't choose Dr. Araide because she couldn't make a face from scratch, she chose him because by disguising as him she would be able to easily get close to the students. And we can probably assume that her serial killer disguise from NY was from scratch.

I think the serial killer was a real guy too. They found his dead body after he "suicided" if I recall correctly. That said, Vermouth might have jacked a random guy's identity, imprisoned him somewhere, killed people with his appearance to make him into a serial killer, and then killed him and dumped the body after the Akai confrontation went bad.

Edit: Or she could have found a real serial killer before the police did. I'm inclined to believe the first honestly, because I think she wanted a silver haired guy in particular in order to trick Akai into thinking it might be Gin. Silver haired Japanese serial killers are probably not readily available; she probably kidnapped a random guy who looked the part and then went marauding with his face. Vermouth really is cruel enough to do this.

Ah, you're right. I thought the reason that Shinichi knew Vermouth was still alive was because there was no body, and Ran was just mistaken or something, but now that you mention it I remember it was because the area was wiped for fingerprints. Still, it doesn't seem like it would be too difficult to make up a disguise.

Anyways assuming he's dead *Original Okiya*. Don't u find him an interesting character. I mean Sera's reaction when she met him has to mean something it was in the Yusaku Kudo's Cold Case as far as I remember she stared at him for a while. I mean she didn't know he was her brother so maybe the "real" Okiya is someone imp related in someway to Sera and probably Akai if we consider he didn't choose a random dead guy for his disguise

Or she used a unimportant BO agent, since they are ready to die for their missions anyway it seems.
