I don't think it was that obvious because at first everyone thought it was the mom; check the first page of the thread! It took the second chapter to change people's minds.

Me too. I really want to know what the Poirot's manager wanted to do with the beads. I really want to meet the manager; he has been this vague presence that gets referred to time to time and it is irritatingly suspicious yet not suspicious.

Uhm...manager = owner? If so, he was shown in the case of the lost cell phone that Azusa found at Poirot's? I'm not really sure whether he appeared in the manga, he did in the anime though, I've been just re-watching that episode recently... =)

The manager/owner ("Master") of Poirot was added in for the anime version. Although mentioned, he never appears in the manga.
