Ai's guinea pig - APTX's influence on Shinichi/Conan's health

Lately I've thought about if this transformating from adult body to child body and back cause some bad things in his health. I guess it's not anything good when your bones are melting, you has heart attack etc. What if Shinichi dies after finally turning back? Or if he has weak heart or something...?

I guess Ai doesn't care about it at all, she treats Conan like a laboratory animal. She wanted to give him SECRETLY an antidote, like it will be fun, so much pain. Why she won't take the antidote herself?

Well, to being with, Shinichi asked that back in Volume #25 ("Desesperation") and said "If you're so interested in getting your body back... Why don't you use it on yourself?" (somethin' like that) and she answers "Idiot. I already told you that this is only a prototype. I want to be sure of its effects before taking it myself" (as far as I remember... Somebody correct me if I'm mistaken...)

The fact she wants to hide is because right after the "Deseperation" chapters, next morin', first thing he says to Ai "The antidote for the APTX4869, Pleaseeee?" (I think so) and she says that not and "If you suddenly transformed into an adult and back into a child it could kill you" (I guess it's written this way) AND before taking it, at the hospital she says "This is a prototype antidote for APTX4869 made using the chemical composition of Paikal /Paikaru /Baikal. You could die, though... Intrested on it?" (the last phrase I'm not sure and i put the licor's name 3 times bacause everyone spells it different)

What makes me curious is that the night Ai present Shinichi the antidote is, according to Ran and Sonoko 3/4 days before the school's festival. Sooo... That means that if the festival was in the noon/afternoon (bacause of the crime time) and Shinichi suddenly appears there, juding from Sonoko's face when she goes to search for Dr. Araide) that means he must ahve taken it hours or a while before... After solving the crime he has a heart attack but the antidote still works. Then, he spends ALL the next day in the high school and in the evening goes to the restaurant and there's when it is stopping to function (I mean the antidote). That must mean that this DOESN'T last 24 hours. If that was the case, he'd turned back to Conan the next day's morning or that same evening. So that must mean it is for almost 48 hours... (it's a very rough estimate, of course)

Then, this new antidote, according to Ai and checked by both Shinichi and Heiji only lasts for about 24 hours. I wonder what the heck she used on that antidote that makes it last less than the one before? I hope Aoyama Gosho - sama will reveal to us in the time being.

I hope you have a good look at my theory, 'cause it makes lots of sense (for some people perhaps not). Anyway, I'm open to any commentaries from all of you.

I agree with it. Why does the new antidote last less long than the old one? Or was this Gosho's mistake?

Anyways, if Ai can make the cure, can she make the APTX again? Maybe she should experiment first on rats before moving to Shinichi. But maybe there is lack of time. 

There is also a bothersome part of this. Ai said, that "if we try to change the flow of time, there will be a punishment". Since she and Shinichi "changed the time"... maybe there is a serious side-effect that we are not aware of? I wonder. o.O

well    ya but the  change the flow of time  the APTX  it wus made  2 kill  not make sum one a kid agin tho its a side  afect if it dont kill the person . shure it made from the same stuff that V math took 2 not age that made from  the taers from bandoras gem. if it its then it aplays to that Aptx as welll.  and evry time he 
skrinks  back it like he has a hart attack  well  as you say he mike have  a weak hart after  he tern back all the way or his hart mite become more  stronger than ever be  like its say what wont kill you makes you stronger

Lol Aluecard, I always have so much trouble understanding what you're saying xD.

Anyways.  Ai said something about Kudo being an experiment that the B.O. has been working on for years now, I wouldn't be surprised if the APTX was originally a rejected immortality drug.  So really it was made to give people time, it kills people because it doesn't work on just anyone .

Most likely Ai herself doesn't feel the need to transform back into adult form.  No point risking your life on something you don't really want xD.

Yeah, Shinichi has a life and friends as a highschooler.  All Sherry has is a bunch of people that want to kill her.  (And even if she doesn't go outside, right now there is still the issue of Okiya.)

Everyone has always said it was 24 hours, but I calculated severel years ago that there is no way it was only 24 hours, like Spimer said.

Growing and shrinking should be hard for Shinichi's body, but he always seems fine afterwards. Maybe because DC is not always realistic... I'd rather think that his high fever could kill him, high fever is deadly. About his heart, I'm sure all of you have tried running around so much that your heart beats so fast you think you're gonna faint, yet you don't die from it unless you have problems with your heart, that might be why Shinichi doesn't get a heart attack or something and dies?
