I'm sorry maybe it's a stupid question but isn't Haibara older than conan by one year, so how are they in the same class?The drug shrunk 10 years so haibara should be 8 and Conan 7, right?

Ok, generally in the same class there can be people from different ages, it's a very common situation, I don't see why you make it sound that weird. lol I'm 19 and in my class there are people who are 21 or 22, and others who are 18, no big deal.

That is correct, but it should be trivial to come up with an excuse, i.e. she needed a year to learn the language. 

Furthermore, there really is no indication that APTX 4869 decreases the apparent age by exactly 10 years. (Considering that in most cases, the victim dies)

I think they just guessed the age they were after they shrunk anyway- when i see a little kid I wouln'd be able to telll if she/he is 7 or 8. Conan and Ai wouldn't have been able to know how old exactly they are, Agasa just came up with an imaginary age when he registered them for school.
I don't think there would be a way to prove they are exacty ten years younger. And Ai mentioned a mouse turned back into a baby mouse after APTX...  mouses only become 1-2years old... 2years-10years= -8years??? I guess it's more likely APTX always turns people back into kids/children- but that wouldn't explain the Vermouth thing... hmmm...

like ai sed, the aptx was supposed to be a poison tat destroys livin cells, so it is normal to assume tat a teenager will look like a child.
tho i dunno how an old woman can turn bak to a woman in her prime wit aptx.

Isn't Haibara 7 and Conan 6? I always thought it would take 11 years off the real age... but it still doesn't explain Vermouth. Maybe it was just an individual case..... 

Shinichi and Haibara isn't actually that age.  It's just that after taking the drug they LOOK short enough to be 6 or 7- in fact Conan is too short xD.

And APTX on RARE OCCASIONS causes the cellular structure to physically regress to a younger state.  From the name I'm guessing it has something to do with PCD ^^;.

I believe though I could be wrong, that Ai said she was 17 in episode 130 -131. As age , An example for you. My sister was born five days before me but two years apart. So during those five days she gains a year. Could be similar between Ai and Conan.

Ok all three translations say 18, But the new question is the second part. One says she the same age as Conan, One says she is a year older and the last one says just perfect for you. Based on that which one is right?
