Hi, welcome on the boards. Unfortunately, I'm afraid the boards are meant to start discussions and all about Conan and other things. If you want to chat (in other words, just have a good talk with others), you'll have to post messages on the Cbox in the section "Site Updates" plus people will answer you faster. Well, at least I think it's allowed there.

And don't worry about the English, as long as it's understandable. I'm not that good anymore either, it's been some years now since I've had English lessons. I'm not even sure if there's someone here who's from America or England/Scotland/Ireland/other countries that have English as mother tongue.

And I'm having the feeling of acting as a moderator here, which I'm not, so I think I'll shut up now :p

Well, I do need help finding the so-called hidden channels in PPSteam & PPLive.  Wikipedia says there are 14,000 channels on PPS, but that does not even seem possible.

As far a Conan goes, I know the children's BTV channel still shows the anime.  No idea how many episodes they dubbed, though.  Star in Hong Kong used to air reruns of Conan as well.  TVB apparently did at one time as well, but I do not see it on their current schedule.

Last time I went to China (these Christmas holidays, to visit relatives) they were running like, 8 hour long Conan marathons. Basically repeats but luckily I started watching at Episode 125, where Haibara was introduced!

Her Chinese dub and Japanese dub are eerily similar.

I'm a big fan of APTX's work, and I love their forum! Very active and close community, and the forum design is one of the best out there!

Glad to see you come by! Be sure to send our regards to the Chinese community. :)

Hello.  It is intriguing to see such a diverse crowd of users in terms of nationality at DCTP.  I do certainly wish best of luck in finding joy at this forum and its other features as well.  As one has said, English is not a problem, for me, if I can comprehend you.  Lest it becomes too difficult to understand, then I am sure that someone that does understand can translate it to the rest of us.  Have fun.

hi nice to meet you all
I am a big fun of conan since i was a little kid
I immigrated to Canada 10 years ago.
The last time i went to China (2003), I bought this huge piece of paper full of Conan stickers (I think they are for collection purpose). Of course they have it for another Anime as well..like Fruits Basket, Shaman King, Chobit, etc.  :)

Does anybody know if there is a station in China that airs first-run episodes of Detective Conan?  BTV-10 only shows a 3-episode block at noon on the weekends.  On Saturday, they broadcast #85, #86, and #87.  I have a feeling though that they stopped dubbing Conan in the 100's, but this is just a guess.

Yes, that's true with the HK Cantonese dub too. Although she DOES sound a bit older...... ::)
