Apparently the story of Movie 17 takes place on a state-of-the-art militia battleship called the Aegis. About the appearance of Amuro & Co, at the moment, the promotion is basically putting a big question mark over who 'The Private Eye' of the title actually is. They're trying to tease us by saying, "Is it Conan? Or one or more of the other detectives floating around in Conan at the moment?" Ran will also find herself in dangerous circumstances. (as always) So Movie 17 is about the Maritime Self-Defence Forces.

The Title for Detective Conan's 17th movie is confirmed: 絶海(ぜっかい) の探偵
絶海means the distant seas. The pronunciation is not confirmed since they always use katakana for the kanji words.
For those that can understand some Japanese, here's the info that's found:

It's most likely from Japan Amazon's movie 16th DVD Blu ray, but for some reason my page won't load for me so I can't confirm

Rumors about the title of the next movie and its plot come out every year around this time, and not once have they ever been correct. Please keep that in mind while reading this information.
