Well, I was on this private website chat and I saw the question:
Should Conan die?

Personally, he will die in the end by becoming Shinichi, but what do you guys think?

Why should he die? He's the main character. That would just kill the whole series.

Not sure what they said, but it seems that he should "die" by becoming Shinichi...

If he were to die as Conan, I'd say, only if Gosho is able to pull it off in a solid way that would satisfy us.  Of course, I don't think it would satisfy anyone who's been watching/reading the series for over 10 years if the main character were to die.

he would most likely tell Ran that he is Shinichi instead of that or just saying that he's "finally going to live with his parents" as Conan.

yes, he should die, its a much more interestin plot

I think gosho aoyama might need to sacrifice some characters if B.O were to end. There's a 50/50 chance whether he will live or die. It depends if gosho is planning a happy ending or a sad but happy ending.

from so far gosho is tryin to create a much more interesting plot, since after shinichi's return, i think he is aware some normal murder case with nothing that can catch our interests will not suffice anymore.

so he might decide to 'pretend' (or really) kill off shinichi so that the climax is as high as possible.

And then the anime would be ruined.......if Shinichi dies the whole point of DC dies also
