I have trouble picking an overall favorite. But you'll see a similarity here, I'm sure

As an extra addition, let me add (because I love the Instrumental music more than anything, lol):

Favorite Instrumental Anime BG Music - Detective Conan Main Theme (Folk Version) a.k.a the one that plays when the culprit falls to their knees and cries about why they killed the victim.

Favorite Instrumental Movie BG Music - Movie 1 - Tokei Jikake No Matenrou (this plays when Conan steals the boy's bike and goes to get the bomb from the lady -- there are so many good Instrumentals in each of the movies but I like the "Big Band Old Rock & Roll" feel of this)

Let me shut up now... sorry, when it comes to DC music I'm a big fangirl.

I luv most DC music except B'z and some Zard songs.

Here are my favs.

Opening: Growing of my Heart by Mai Kuraki (Kaze no La La La is  second)
Ending: I Still Believe ~Tameiki~ by Yumi Shizukusa
Movie: Time After Time ~Hana mau Machi de~ by Mai Kuraki (Anata Ga Iru Kara is second, for sure)
Insert: Kimi ga Ireba by Iori

^^ I'm a Mai Kuraki fan.

Opening: "Start" by Rina Aiuchi
Ending: "Secret of My Heart" by Mai Kuraki
Movie: "Always" by Mai Kuraki even though none of the songs stand out for me.


Question:  Are these themes just popular songs in Japan & that is why they are chosen, or are they specially written for Conan?  Perhaps some are written for Conan, and some are not?

It's so hard to pick a favorite OP... I like all of them (except 6, too noisy for my tastes).
