IF, in the end of DC, the truth about "sleeping kogoro" was found out by Kogoro mouri himself.
I think kogoro would snapped and went mad, and it is very possible that kogoro would turn into murderer, and shinichi will be his first victim

Okay, I believe you all know kogoro mouri personalities ;
1.he is an alcoholic, and very addicted to it if i should say
2.emotional person (where he would get mad even for little thing)
3.barbaric (he often smack conan, who just a little kid in the head, and remember, he didn't know conan was shinichi)

If he knew all his success and gift actually a fake, and it was shinichi who behind all of it.. it would cause a great deal of trauma on his pride, and that is a good enough reason for murdering someone.

Haha.. Thats right. But even he know that all the deduction was fake and shinichi was behind of this, I don't think so he will mudered Shinichi.. But first i think shinichi will be beat by Ran to coma.  Maybe if they know that Conan was shinichi..  I can say Kogoro just keep drinking worst than before and stop to be Detective. Even Kogoro say he hate Shinichi but Shinichi still friends with Ran.. Shinichi also can come to the Detective Agency (If he was not shrunk). But Mouri can mudered if someone do something to his daughter Ran.. 

there's no need in telling him, he won't be needed when Shinichi comes back 

But that would be a problem, I wouldn't want Kogoro to fall into depression, after Shinichi comes back he might not be needed, but I do believe that lately Kogoro has gotten better lately, after Shinichi comes back they should keep it a secret from him, only Ran should know, by then Mouri might be good enough detective on hin own.
The one thing I wanna see it's how they gonna explain to everybody  that "Sleeping Korogo" is no more

It is a possiblity, but considering that he doesn't have any money saved (although he is very famous) I don't think that would be an option, unless of course he gets back together with Eri ,then they can live out of what she makes 

living off Eri is the last thing he'll eva do lol

Well, if he can't solve the cases anymore he just might get back together with her, besides it'd be a happy ending for Ran who is always trying so hard to get them back together

But who's gonna bring the money if he can't solve as many cases as he did when Shinichi(Conan) was helping him

What he can do for a living is as he has done before. Solving those ever so difficult missing pet cases for rich people who will pay him his weight in gold

Kogoro would be upset if he finds out, after getting over a LONG period of denial. (Whether he'll get over the period of denial AT ALL is debatable)

However, there is very little chance of Kogoro actually resorting to murder, as he said before, "I don't ever want to understand a killer's feelings."
The furthest he'll go would probably be aggravated assault, and that is only if Ran hasn't ALREADY beaten Shinichi to a bloody pulp. 

If Eri ever comes back to him, Kogoro would most likely rejoin the police force. (I believe the reason why Kogoro left the force in the beginning was due to an incident related to her)
Anyway, don't make fun of Kogoro too much, he may not be as competent as Inspectors Satou and Takagi (requiring on average about two to three times as many hints from Conan to reach the same conclusion), but he is still LEAGUES above this guy.

You know, that would be a very happy ending, Shinichi comes back, tells everything to Ran, Kogorou gets back together with Eri and rejoins the police, taking Megure's position since he has been promoted, and they all attend Sato-san and Takagi's Wedding, Yumi picks up the bouquet thrown by Sato as she looks at Shiratori that is standing right next to her 
Happy ending for us all

yyyyyyeah. only if the ending ever happen! but that was a good ending that you describe! 

but i would have to say..
nah. i dont think Mouri would EVER FIGURE it out on his own, unless someone confesses or tells it to him with a straight-face. hehe.
but even if he do..he'll probably just move away, or go on "vacation" til it all dies down or something. hehe. poor man.
