Most unexpected culprit ?
What case where you the most shocked when the culprit was revealed ?
For me, I'm not sure, but it was probably the doctor that treated Ran's amnesia in the fourth movie.

Re: Most unexpected culprit ?
What! There was an ACTUAL suicide on this show?!?! Everything I thought I knew is now suspect. If there is one thing this show has taught us, it is that no one EVER commits suicide. No matter how obvious suicide may be, it's always murder. Ever if the room is locked, the victim has swallowed the only key ever made, tape is covering the doors and windows, a notarized suicide note is found written in the victim's handwriting, and it occured on a deserted island uncharted on any map, you can bet it was murder.chris bauer wrote: in episode 3 where it was a suicide
Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand.

Sorry, I had to add that, the "notarized" part of this just cracked me up
Seriously though.... I wish there were MORE "actual" suicides in this show. The fact that it's always murder is a bit much, even for a murder-mystery show.

Re: Most unexpected culprit ?
There are many suicides in this show not just murders. Suicides were mostly committed by BO members.
or were they murdered...
hmmm
Well Calvados committed suicide, that counts.

Re: Most unexpected culprit ?
Hmm, too hard to choose, maybe i should go an rewatch like 300 epsiodes and then i'll tell you. lol like i have the time for that........
Anyways, sucides are often mentione din the show. Often he here's the history of a set of murders that all resulted from the sucide of one person. And kudo often disproves old casses that haoppened years ago. I think though, that proving suicide is less entertaining then proving guilt, after all, we all just want somone to hate at the end of the episode.
He killed his parents over something that small! send him to prison! lol (Case and point.)
Of course there are epsidoes when u want to agree with the murders mentalitty, but Kudo always points out it is never right to kill and you should give yourself up if you did, soemtimes the culprits actully do or leave hints to kudo jsut so he can book em for thier crime.

Episode 84 / 85 A Ski Lodge Murder Case Was probably the most shocking culprit just cause the culprit was really close to Ran. And the fact that she had to do the detective act while talking to conan over the ear phone it had to be someone else even though the eveidance (sp) was there.
Probably the saddest case out of them all as well.

Night Baron Case culprit was really impressive for me. Also Ski Lodge Murder Case, as Raso said, was a really impressive one.

Shinichi's First Case, the culprit is not that unexpected, but the murder weapon is, Gosho outdone himself this time, even came up with such a weapon

Moonlight Sonata, anyone?
You can't tell me you saw the twist for that one coming. I was extremely impressed (and slight crept out) by how Gosho handled it.

Indeed. I had a good idea who it was, but when I found out that 'she' was he I was a bit unsettled. You can't tell me you saw the twist for that one coming. I was extremely impressed (and slight crept out) by how Gosho handled it.

"The energies of our system will decay; the glory of the sun will be dimmed, and the earth, tideless and inert, will no longer tolerate the race which has for a moment disturbed its solitude. Man will go down into the pit, and all his thoughts will perish. The uneasy consciousness, which in this obscure corner has for a brief space broken the contented silence of the universe, will be at rest. Matter will know itself no longer. 'Imperishable monuments' and 'immortal deeds,' death itself, and love stronger than death, will be as though they had never been."
