in our latest Anime 563 ... our lovely little princess Ayumi-chan Is in the Men's Toilet! and She's in there BEFORE the Robber Occurs !.... so why? i know she just a 1st grade elementary student... but from the beggining of manga or anime... she always show cuteness and gender aware... (she dont want conan to see her funny face when she is sick... ect ect ect)
If she go to the men's toilet AFTER the robber because hiding whit the others... that makes senses.... so??? what do you think huh? this fact give me a chill in my bone.... but lucky Ai didn't go in there too .... (she's not there right....)
Spoiler:
xpon is so cute...
Even Ayumi~chan and Sera~chan love to hug him.....
Maybe Ayumi is really a cross-dressing boy? In all seriousness though, I concur that it is bizarre Ayumi would follow Genta into the men's toilet. She could be worried about him, but still it's strange. Is it more culturally normal in Japan for children not to mind the restroom's gender?
Well, up to that age it is normal not to care about the restrooms gender that much. She is only 7 years old after all. I guess she was also a bit worried about Genta... and didn't want to wait outside the room alone when Mitsuhiko and Conan (who might be one more reason to enter ) were following Genta as well.
Beside Gosho didn't have to include a scene of her entering the room after hearing that gunshoot that way. Saved a whole panel. (And was kept for the Anime for accuracy reasons)

There was a small page in another topic where people debated if Ayumi was actually a "shemale" or cross dresser. Like I said in that topic, she's pushing the "I'm a little girl" routine to hard, I'm not buying it.

To me this is similar to the situation in "The City's Crows"(ep.363 AO) where Ayumi acts a bit hypocritical. When chasing down a suspect, she could care less if they are truly guilty until it's one of her friends, then she acts like it's the most disgusting thing in the world to suspect someone and follow them for evidence(even though has done it countless times without any remorse).
Same thing here, in a previous episode she disliked that Conan was present in the ladies room(which shows she is aware about gender differences in bathrooms) but doesn't really care that she's in the mens room in this case.
