Neverthless, and incredibly amazing episode! Can´t wait for part two ...

So, Jodie-sensei and Akai were actually lovers, I always thought it was only Jodie´s fantasy .... and Jodie kicking the robber was so AWESOME!

I hope Megure appears in part 2. Megure and Jodie conversations are often hilarious.

Alright anime only people, who do think scar Akai and Okiya are?

If you are curious, there was a poll about the identities of Okiya and scar Akai in the manga section when this chapter came out a century about a year ago. The results are posted in the spoiler box.

I still don't get why Jodie decided to talk in a foreigner's accent after she sensed the robbers approaching the restroom.
Sure, she probably did it to prompt the kids to hide, but she just kneed an armed robber! Why didn't she just pick up his gun and shoot at them?
To simply invite them to tase her without putting up a fight is something I don't think an FBI agent will do. But oh well.

1.  Don't give the robbers any reason to suspect that she's not who they think she is (a stupid foreign woman with big boobs)
2.  Other accomplices outside with many hostages.  Gunshot bad.
3.  PROTECT THE CHILDREN!  AT ALL COSTS!  OMG I'M DEAD NOW!  I'LL NEVER KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO SHUU~~~

Too far behind with watching the episodes.... didn't even watch the Red Wall case yet.
Beside, it is an manga-based episode so I know what happened (and what will happen next).

Awesome episode, after 50 episodes we finally get to see our favorite FBI agent.

That was pretty surprising that the relationship between Jodie and Akai was confirmed, also, kinda sucks for Jodie, because even though Akemi died, Akai didn't want to go back to her.  Seeing Jodie break down is a weird sight, im so used to her pre-Vermouth days, that mysterious blonde foreigner attitude.

This love triangle kinda reminds me of the ai/conan/ran one.  All I want now is a meeting between Ai and Akai.  I mean, they are pretty much siblings-in-law.

Scar Akai is actually Akai and he actually did get burned in the blast. The body in the truck was Rikumichi (the Black Org. member who committed suicide when Conan & Akai ran him down back in Clash). We've gone over this before in various spots, but the reason the fingerprints were on the phone was because he had touched it when Conan was doing his little trick.

On the other end, I'm of the opinion that Okiya is the new CIA contact that Rena was meant to bring into the Organization, as was her real objective all along. She told Akai & Conan of this, and they decided that, once Okiya (henceforth known as "Bourbon") was successfully in the Organization, that she call the FBI and tell them that a new member had been accepted--with the FBI unaware that this was all part of their plan. This way, if there is another leak in the FBI (as was to be presumed), the Black Org. would not be suspicious of the new member being a spy because Rena would not give any impression that she was involved in his implementation. Along with this, they could spend time weeding out who the leak in the FBI abroad members was and use them to get to the boss at an opportune moment.

All guesswork, but that's what occurred to me long, long ago.

You have to ask the following though. Why, if scar Akai is the real deal, is Akai wandering around in the open where it will seriously jeopardize Rena's safety with no gains to made if he is discovered by the B.O.? It contradictory behavior unless you want to discuss memory loss, which I have several things to say about, but they are manga spoilers so I'm not going to state them on this thread. You cans see the full range of objections in the sig link though.

I definitely think that it is difficult for Okiya to be anyone but Akai. A third party is not impossible, but there are several points to consider.
Okiya looks and acts like Akai down to being left handed.
Ran thinks Okiya looks familiar.
Haibara reacts strongly to Okiya, something she is known to do with Akai, but not for any of the other FBI agents or Eisuke. Would she react so strongly to a new agent? I can't say, but it is something to consider.
The names "Okiya Subaru" and "Akai Shuuichi" have a unified pun reference (I read somewhere that Moroboshi Dai fits in as well, although I forget how exactly. I'd love it if someone could fill me in on that.)

Well Beika is supposed to be homophonous to "Baker" like "Baker street" and Haido = Hyde. I figure it's appropriate but if you like Beika instead, I'll stick to that... And I'll fix Teito bank while I am at it.
