Episode 555 (Stork Mystery Tour (Haruna Pursuit Chapter))

Kind of better case-wise (ignoring the fact that there were way too many characters no one cares about created specificially for this case) but it lacked a lot of the fun, unimportant conversations that made the last part fun. Genta being the one to help prove that the Museum guy was the culprit made me laugh though.
And Ran continues to basically be the only person in the history of television programming to have parents that are separated instead of divorced.

Not only charas created specifically for that case.
It irked me most that the Detective Boys and Kazuha and Heiji met once again before their proper introduction to each other by Gosho. They behaved like they know each other already, but according to the "timeline" (if there is such a thing in DC) they didn't officially meet yet. I mean... did we really need Heiji and Kazuha for that case?
Finding the culprint was unfair.
Othwerwise, yeah not bad.

Some people are just way too picky. I like this case so far, and am also enjoying the fact that there are so many characters since it's not often we get to see all these characters interact with one another. I haven't watched 555 yet, but I don't feel it'll be all that bad.

They met in movie 10, so it's canon to the anime. And that's good enough for AOs.

They also met in movie 7 IIRC. But I was never taking that movie seriously anyway.

I couldn't remember if the DB were in movie 7 or not, so I just went with the one that I knew they were in. As long as anime only canon sticks with AO episodes and doesn't leak into manga episodes (again... stupid "Inspector" from Gunma), I'm fine with it.

really? I think it was a fairly easy case.

The DB were in every movie.
But in movie 7 they were more like a "late addition" that was just added because they are supposed to be in a movie, not because they have an important role...
It is still complicated to keep track with what happened in Manga- and Anime- Canon wise if they differ too much.
really? I think it was a fairly easy case.
And well, I didn't pay attention to the trousers of all the people which made me miss that detail. Considering the

Well, we had Kogoro and Conan just with a towel. And Mitsuhiko and Genta in an onsen.
Unfortunally the girls were only putting their feet in the hot water when it was their turn.

did we really need Heiji and Kazuha for that case?
Kazuha no, but Heiji yes.
Kinosaki is in the Kansai area (so near Osaka). That's why this is Heiji who was called to do the investigation.
And actually Conan couldn't walk because of his foot so that's Heiji who solved about everything.

What's a pity that the truth of Ran and Araide-sensei getting together had no answer. This chapter never give Conan-kun a chance for asking Ran about this.

just gettin' your hopes up.
Also, I liked the part of this ep where Heiji was like "isn't that right, museum-director-who-is-the-culprit-and-is-standing-behind-that-wall?" and the director comes out and is like "wow, you caught me suspiciously snooping around but I swear I have nothing to do with this, lol."
also, it may just be me and a sort of placebo effect, but they seem to be changing the portrayal of kogoro to match the new voice. Like the super crying stream scene with him, for some reason I can't picture that type of thing with the old kogoro. Maybe I'm just getting used to the new VA quicker than expected
