Watched-it-all melancholy

So, I've just spent the last two weeks or so watching

- all 400+ fansubbed episodes (plus a few of those oh-so-crappy Hong Kong DVDrips)
- all 13 movies plus "vs. Lupin" special
- all 11 OAVs/Magic File OAVs
- both live-action dramas

And now I'm feeling depressed because now I've got no choice but to wait and see new episodes and things as they come out.

Anyone else been there? What's your cure? :)

If You are misssing Conan that much,

1)then try to watch all versions of all episodes

2)Watch Conan in a different Language

3) Search for and watch AMV of Conan on like youtube, Gube, Aol ...

So, of course, I'll go read the manga…

…and spoil myself for the anime adaptations of it. :P

Manga is the best way.  ;D

But you can also draw Conan pics, read/write good fanfiction, illustrate fanfictions, make AMVs on your own, collect Conan-stuff... translating Conan to other languages, like making subtitles for clips.

A few ideas:

- You can come up with some Funny Conan Captions
- You can vote in the Opening and Ending contests
- You can participate in the wacky Off-Topic discussions
- You can make your own cool threads on the DCTP forums for people to talk about

(It looks like you've already started doing the fourth suggestion) ;)

Half the reason why many of us visit the forums is to get our Conan fix between episodes, and to hang out with fellow Conan addicts fans who are in the same situation.

at this rate, he'll catch up in a day.

In other words, not really.

Try other detective anime series... Once you've missed watching DC, rewatch episodes that aren't that fresh in your mind... Try to master every episode and be the Ultimate DC Otaku!

I envy you for having all the time in the world and resources to watch too much DC in two weeks or so...

I've heard good things about Matantei Loki.

There's a series I've been meaning to try and watch called "Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro", which is apparently good but with a horrible ending, about a demon who solves mysteries so he can eat them.

I'm just curious as to how you eat a mystery.

so you could try watching that too

I dropped Mythical Tantei Loki... Didn't quite get into it... Majin Tantei is a better choice for me... It's really a funny detective series... If DC has Sleeping Kogoro, Majin Tantei has Possessed Yako!

You might also wanna consider watching Death Note, Detective Academy Q and Spiral: Bonds of Reasoning...

I know the feeling.  Reading the manga helps until you catch up to it and then the feeling comes back.  I combat it by writing fanfiction (which I have never done until I discovered DC), watching AMVs, talking about it to friends on Chatango and here in the DCTP forum, and rereading the entire MK manga cause it's short... the feeling never fully goes away though.  xD

Yes, Mythical Tantei Loki was quite a disappointment for me too. Too dragged on, and the story didn't go anywhere. Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro is much better imo, even 'though I eventually dropped that one too. It just took too long to get some real action in the story. (I think I really need to start reading Monster, that one will suit me more)

Death Note was great (if you can stand the gigantic load of words in almost every text balloon, its psychology and seriousness. And ... I didn't like it as much anymore when the first 'antagonist' was traded in for the second) and Detective Academy Q was dropped by yours truly as well (couldn't stand the main character. He simply doesn't look the detective act to me, I always get the impression someone else told him how it all went and he just brags about it.). I don't know the other ones, so that's up to you (the thread starter) to try out.

if you think that Monster will be better in that department... yeah.

Monster, although very good, is very slow-paced.
