Genta was oddly the best part of this episode. Mainly because he was compared to a sea lion and they finally showed how ridiculously quick he can eat food. Kazuha being pissed at how much it cost to get Genta all of that food was funny too.


also did anyone notice the random Power Ranger posters?

But seriously, it's basically like this:
1. daughter of the owner of a company is kidnapped
2. daughter apparently escaped since...she is not kidnapped
3. father hates ex-wife who supposedly loves art more than her own daughter and he thinks that a letter sent to his daughter about a vacation they had three years ago will somehow trick the daughter into stealing some art that the mother originally owned that the father was displaying...wait what
4. Some person who works at what I will now call "The Backpack Store" is looking for the guy's daughter for some reason.
5. Kidnapper has been following her, took her backpack and when nothing was in it, Ran tried to help. Ran was tazered because of that.

I think "Backpack Store" best sums it up. o_O And why the heck would Ran look away to tell the little girl to call the police? Did she WANT the guy to run into her with a stungun? EVERYTHING other than things related to the case were funny and fun to watch, the case though is a major ridiculous snoozer. I got a kick out of Genta though, in his full hungry stereotype mode. Him holding onto Kazuha and begging for her to pay for more food was the highlight, along with classic Kogoro "Watch where you're going next time... AHHHH!!!"

I loved it because Kazuha got attacked by the freaky ladies. XD

Also...when Genta was whining at Kazuha after she turned around and refused to buy more food...it kinda looked wrong... O_o

I'm at least mildly interested in the answer to the mysteries in this case but that's about it. I do agree that the non-case stuff is better. This show could use episodes where the characters have random fun for no reason and a case doesn't happen.

I swear I hate the daughter but mainly because of the way she told Ran to leave her alone. Because that reminds me of the most unoriginal and lame type of anime character ever: The princess/famous person who is a jerk to everyone (BUT IS REALLY JUST SAD AND DOESN'T WANT ANYONE ELSE TO DIE111!1!1 (see: the princess from Lupin vs. Conan))

But this is the ENTIRE REASON why people think it's okay to be a jerk!!!!

yeah this episode is very funny... i screamed in the last part of the episode.

it's obvious how the case would end. Ran has Ayumi's badge and Conan will find her...
regarding the culprit, he bumped into Genta. a couple of seconds later, we have a guy with a stain on his clothes (ice-cream?), but then again, that person was with Conan, Kogoro and Hattori when they said what the next location would be. so either he isn't the culprit, or there are two culprits who wear the same clothes. (writer is the accomplice maybe?)

i agree, but meh, ain't it nice it was a stungun and not a knife or a gun (like your average criminal)? - wouldn't that be interesting then

it's kinda funny and kinda different than the normal fillers (especially most of the 1-episode-fillers)
