Where are the "episode title" doors supposed to be?
I'm just curious: any idea where the double doors that swing open to reveal the episode title are supposed to be? I'm just curious what relevance those big wooden doors and flickering torches have to Conan. I'd think that it would be more thematically appropriate to show doors to 221B Baker Street or something.

This is my theory...
I rewatched the 1st few scenes of 1 episode to see if it's actually like that... Before the episode title is shown, the doors open, meaning the case is being opened. I haven't rechecked what actually happens in the middle part of the episode or in case it's two part episodes or when it's a special episode...

I always thought they were a reference to the jet coaster case.....when I thought about it at all. Eh, they look cool. nwn
I have finally started to actually publish my story! For the moment, expect a new chapter each month.
The Case of the Midnight Channel
"When a strange letter summons the Mouri family to Inaba, Ran is expecting a case. She's not expecting it to involve the TV, though.
If Naoto investigated everyone who came to visit Inaba, she'd have little time for real cases. When Yukiko reports that the Midnight Channel is back, however, she starts to wonder if the visitors are connected. Especially when the image clears, unveiling yet another mystery."

Short version: I'm taking various DC/MK characters to Inaba (where Persona 4 takes place) and dropping them through the TV to face their Shadows!

Isn't it some reference to Holmes or something? I don't know, I always thought it suited the series. I actually didn't really think about it. Maybe it resembles the doors of an English castle? And in ancient times, they used torches (well, there was no electricity, duh). I dunno, the first thing that comes to mind when I see that scene is an old English castle with traps and so on, and some case to be solved (those castles breath out a lot of atmosphere).
I dunno, just my thoughts.

Exactly. But to use it for 550+ cases.. well, it's kinda like a trademark now.Kite wrote: (those castles breath out a lot of atmosphere)
Who knows, maybe the flickering torch on the right side is the boss in disguise.
No amount of apologies will express how much I regret it.
