Conan sounds much better than normal in the Captured in Her Eyes trailer. I approve of that.

And Sato sounded good too. And the guy who was killed had a japanese name?!  :o

Dub Kid and Nakamori still sounded not so great but like the song goes, 2 out of 3 ain't bad!

But we didn't confirm what Haibara will sound like, so...  :-\

I think the trailer for movie 4 could use some work--and I don't mean the voices. Why do they throw in random created animations when they could use footage from the actual movie?

I agree with Miaka, trailer four could really use some work. Sato's dub voice sounded just fine, but the trailer as a whole was really goofily done. However, let's hope that these movies sell as well as the fifth season did, because if so, we really WILL get more season sets. I know I'll buy these when they come out.

I still think that Ran's english dub voice gets worse the more episodes of dubbed DC I watch, but maybe that's just me. And Conan's dub voice just doesn't work for dramatic scenes.

Funimation's website is currently going through maintenance. However, I am still able to access both videos, so maybe it only affects certain people.

Satou's voice seems good, but when she was getting shot... the noises she made sounded like she was trying to cough up something stuck in her throat.  Hopefully that's just a result of a bad trailer.

we have heard katio kid before so I don't think that it will become a problem unless you already dislike his voice. also I have always liked rans english VA a lot. it always seemed to fit her very well

looking forward to it, but man, I'd rather them concentrate on getting season 6+ out.

Hm, and no haibara's english VA.
Spoiler:
Not complaining, but switching off from sub and dub Conan voice is really hard, from high pitch to low pitch.
The only English VAs I enjoy in CC is heiji's and kogoro's

I like Shinichi's VA. Jerry Jewell FTW~ <3

Do not get your hopes up on that. The possibility of season six heavily, HEAVILY depends on the DVD sales of these two movies. Remember, this is material that is in actuality, five years old. Everything, including the 130 episodes, and the movies that are being released, was all done in 2004. Low ratings, and low sales have both heavily contributed to the de-prioritization of Case Closed in the eyes of Funimation. From what I have been told, season five sold very well, as compared to other releases, and I've heard that the sales of the "Viridian Collection" DVD sets is also a surprise. However, let's hope that both of these movies sell very well, because at this point, it will take a miraculous boost in sales for Funimation to dub more of the series.

Oddly enough, the manga by Viz is one of Viz' best sellers, so do no fear for the manga's cancellation.

Good and bad. The first trailer, was the good one as the voices were good and the editing was well done, no complaints. The seconds trailer is a whole different story. It was bad all around. The suspenseful scenes felt flat due to the music and voice actors(Sato's VA made the bullets seem like a small inconvenience while Ran seemed to be reading off a script during her breakdown moment). Then there was Conan, I've seen 4 episodes of the dub 5 years ago and I do not recall Conan sounding so girly. His voice seems like it should be on Ayumi or Mitsuhiko than the great Conan.

I need to get my hands on the viz manga...how is the quality/censorship/translation?  Do they edit a lot of scenes, or mess up names/famous quotes/etc ?

The quality of the book is great.  There is no censorship.  The translation is very well done and professional.  They don't edit any scenes at all.  In the beginning of the series, every single name was changed to an english version, but then later on, around vol 10-15 (honestly don't remember when), they stopped changing all of the background characters names.  The main characters are all changed and any new main characters or who are part of the family of another character still have their name changed.  Pretty sure the quotes remain the same or are similar to the japanese version except in english.

Overall pretty well done.
