funimation would probably make more money off case closed if it was subbed only so the question is would you be willing to trade the dub of season 7 and up for more seasons of case closed

I live in Saudi Arabia. Although there is an Arabic dub and it's pretty good, it's really slow and the anime is stuck in the really early seasons. Even before the beginning of Metropolitan Police Love Story Case #1. They haven't even mentioned it.

At this point, not really. I enjoy the dub very much, and I would like for it to continue to be made. I can wait the extra time.

I looove the dub~ I don't understand why people must bash it so much..just don't watch it! >_>
Anyways, I'm super excited for movies 3-6 to come out~ FUNi's gonna release 3 and 4 in December this year~

I am so excited about the movies coming out as well. I can not wait to see them. (I have not seen them yet) and I really want to hear sato and AI VA's for the show. I am just asking if people would want to trade the dub for more seasons of the show, it has nothing to do with speed of releases, only how many we actually get

considering I'm not really one to re-watch shows, it doesn't particularly matter to me.
Although honestly, if they were to sub everything instead of dubbing it, I still prefer the sub-style of DCTP rather than what official subs tend to look like.

To be honest, as long as I have internet access, I doubt I would ever buy a dvd for only subbed episodes. I really doubt it would sell at all without the dub btw.

My answer is simple. Better a great SUB then a poor dub. Way too many Anime suffer from bad dubs - Sailor Moon ,Tokyo Mew Mew, and try to forget One Piece.

I think someone had a reply to this opinion that was kinda like
20 years ago that was true, 10 years ago that was arguable, right now that is bullshit

This is my big thing. It's also why Bandai and Sentei23 aren't likely to be around for too much longer.

Then you must not have heard the D.Gray-Man dub.

What's a D. Gray Man? Is he a new Megaman Boss?

The dub wouldn't be much of a loss to me. I only watch subs for DC. If it really kept Funi releasing the series, then I would definitely buy without a dub track. DC's one of the few anime I buy these days. So many of my favorites have moved to legal streaming.

If it reflects on the price, than I wouldn't mind. Less work put into DVD would mean smaller prices consumers would have to pay making it more appealing. It would be hard to justify not buying a retail version of one of your favorite animes if the price is low enough, but like it was said, Funi would never pass on those savings to the consumer and instead just apply it to the gains....which is why people find it hard to buy retail,(prices aren't attractive enough).

Price doesn't matter much to me, as I usually have one source with good deals. Instead of paying the full $250 ($50 each) for the five seasons already out, I only ended up paying $150 ($30 each).
