I was just wondering if anyone could tell me why Genta has a bald spot on his left temple. Is there some culturally significant reason for a round spot to be shaved there?

Maybe he had a shaving accident?

What if he used to have an AFRO!?!

He's already exhibiting Male Pattern Baldness at seven, it's just not beginning at the crown of his head.

Or he's been held back for years and is actually forty-five.

My serious guess is that it was something Aoyama-sensei drew in for his early appearances to make him look like a miniature hard man, and it got kind of stuck before anyone started thinking seriously about a first-grader having a bald patch.

He was attacked by an eel when he was 2 years old. Now,he plan to extinguish the all the eels in the world by eating them with rice

He ran into Dance Man and got afro'd. He tried to shave it off and accidently cut off too much.

jeez who came up with these names? is not like you look cool by saying something like Trichotillomania with like 99% of people in this world that doesn't even have a clue what it means and its just some long and pointless way to say bald patches

Ironically, I have trichotillomania, and didn't even consider that as a possibility for Genta's patch. (Thinking about it, I still don't. It's too regular and too small. And I'd think his Mom would shave his head to prevent him from pulling more hair out and looking funny.)
