What portion of the DC storyline is your favorite?

Going by volume number and by 10s, which part of DC overall had your favorite moments?

I'm tied between the 20s, 30s, and 40s, as that was when, IMO, the plot was the most mysterious and had the strongest cases.

What about you guys?

The 20's. So much happened there, especially the Return Arc.

not to be annoyingly nerd like, but from what I understand, the recent stuff from volume 62/episodes 521-523 is what is usually called the Return Arc, and that one is called Desperate Revival (which is a much cooler name, and pretty much official).

Since I read the English manga, which is only out to book 30 atm...that's pretty much all I can actually say I like.
I /did/ read the rest of it here, but I don't pay a lot of attention to it if it's not in book form. Idk why  ???

My absolute favourite at the moment is probably book 29 though...Ai making sweet expressions = priceless  ;D

imo it'd be nice if next to the chapters you had a brief description of what was goin on at that point, I don't know the chapter numbers at all

but I'll say the part where shuuichi and jodie were first introduced and you didn't know who the hell they were working for.

1-10 is intro stuff
11-20 is more intro stuff, the Haibara intro and the Haibara case after that with the soccer stadium
21-30 is anything after that and after the hijacking bus case
31-40 is everything after that but ends before the multiple plot related cases in a row before episode 345
41-50 is just what I said through the first Eisuke case
51-60 is that until the end of Clash of Red and Black and the first Okiya Subaru case

looking at the poll it seems like I'm the only one who thinks so, but I like the early part of the series the best (1-10) :D I like the more light-hearted and comical aspect of DC I guess (though the drama and mysteries are definitely also good)

My favorite is between the part where the FBI members made their first apperances and that where their identity was revealed.  So I voted for volume 31-40.  I love the portion because there are full of identity mysteries, which is intriguing.  Also, at the time we did not know there were FBI related things in DC and thus had almost no leg to stand upon regarding the identity of Akai, Jodie and James.  It was like trying to invent  the setting rather than  to make a theory based on what are presented to us.  I wonder if anyone here guessed correctly that they are FBI agents.

I'm not familiar with the volume numbers, but

Number 1:
the story arc leading up to 345 was my favorite.

Jodie-sensei, the mysterious Akai, and the whole Ai/Shiho background episodes were great,

basically episodes 300ish to 340ish were awesome because of the episodes that had to do with her.

Number 2 in my book, is the Desperate Rival Arc.
Just the fact that it was like the first major plot-arc made me love it so much.  Plus, Ai as Conan is just pure win.

Number 3, is the Clash of Red and Black.
13 back to back episodes regarding plot?! Good God, it made me jizz.  Plus FBI vs BO is just awesome.

Number 4, Ai's introduction.
It was the introduction of IMO the most developed character in DC, and my favorite.  It was a much needed storyline to include her into the story, or else DC would have been a lot more stale.

I'm not too fond of the whole Eisuke/Rena arc, because it just couldn't grab my attention like the 345 arc...I was actually incredibly baffled that Jodie was not Vermouth.  However, I definetely knew Eisuke wasn't a bad person.  And I could care less about a unconscious captive BO member.

As for the Okiya arc, I still need to wait and watch more episodes.  I think it's going to be interesting, because 1 - as the big Ai fan I am, anything to do with her (Bourbon hunting her down) makes me interested.  Also, I'm very curious to what happened to Akai.

I don't read the manga, so if you're gonna say something regarding the new arc....use SPOILERS111!!!

So far in the anime it started off well and then became pretty dissapointing but I doubt it doesn't improve in the manga.
