A bit of quick curiosity about the Spanish dubs of Detective Conan had me looking around the Wikipedia page, where I stumbled upon something interesting. They seem to have up a title for the 14th movie, which is El francotirador en la niebla (The Sniper in the Fog). The Arabic page also has the same title. Since this is on no official site as of yet, take it as a rumor.

Ok, there is no way any foriegn site is going to have the title when the Japanese don't even have it. Cause DCTP would be the first to tell us. That title is probably the alternative for 13. It sounds like that anyway.

Also found it on two other Wiki pages, but they're derivations of Spanish, so those three may be from the same source. Of course, this is all under the mega rumor sign, so I'm not going to lose sleep over it.

This actually came out of some "leaked" promotional materials and came out of the Chinese side of the interwebs if I recall correctly. I saw the original pictures but deemed them anything but remarkable, as they seemed to use stock Conan images.

Dunno, but as I said even then (I think we had a topic on this in the Story board for some reason): The title's a bit too revealing. It doesn't help the fact that M14 is apparently on some sort of...

I can see how the word "fog" (clouds) can go if it's on a blimp (They try to cover every possible place that has yet to have a case with Conan...) but "sniper" is a bit...hard to believe.

I actually read the title "Sniper in the Frog" first time around(the downside of speed reading) and was actually looking forward to that thinking it was some kind of hidden message or riddle in relation to the movie plot.

"Sniper in the Fog"(not as good

) does sound like a DC movie title but after JD pointed out the blimp, I'm thinking the title would be closer to "Marksman in the Clouds". It doesn't have the same ring but fits ..so far.

It would appear the blimp/zeppelin is flying a bit lower over the water than it is supposed to, especially since it is in a storm. Seriously, doesn't anyone check with NOAA before they decide to fly into supercells? They should avoid scheduling their maiden flight when storms are nearby if on the off chance the blimp has technical difficulties which may include navigation system malfunction, hijacking by crazy murderers, backup navigation system malfunction, lost control, backup backup navigation system malfunction, or catastrophic envelope failure including spontaneous combustion and/or puncture by soccer balls. The last time someone failed to take into account sudden nasty storms during their opening event, a cloned tyrannosaurus decided to have electrified cage claustrophobia.

Obviously, it's a story involving a great flood (think Noah) due to global warming, and the only survivors are on that blimp. Someone is pushing people off the blimp one by one, and Conan & co. have to figure out who it is before they get pushed off too. Later, they run into trouble because there's a mechanical failure, but luckily they spy a *ahem* castle in the sky, and the story ends with them starting civilization over on the flying island.

Wow... What an imagination...
But the blimp reminds me of the Special Volume 26 where Arrack appeared. (They were on a gigantic blimp, and Arrack was one of the organization's asassins who was attempting to kill this princess on it... Of course, Conan stopped him from killing anybody...)
