I laughed at the 2 second Google parody. AND KOGORO JUDO THROW! :DDDDDDDDDDDDD

Also, this episode confirms that the art style is much, much better when it is evening or night.
And around 8:30 there's an awesome new song for the background music.

This was such a ridiculous and stupid case.  So much stuff just happened to go right for this guy to be proven innocent.  But the sad part?  It's probably the best AO in at least the last 100 episodes.

Yeah I pretty much agree.  I think the only decent AO I've seen so far was the one when Shinichi's parents disguise as B-org members, and the one when the Detective boys get the case right and not Conan.

I liked most of it, even how random stuff like chucking the gun in the right place at the right time got him saved, but I was pretty annoyed by how they didn't really show the actual villain at all until the very end where they say "oh btw it's this guy lol", thought it was sort of lame.

I didn't mind this episode despite Conan's wanton disregard for the laws and his personal safety and a whopping helping of dumb luck creating vindicating evidence. The characters were pretty interesting.

I wonder why the anime people don't try a Kaito Kid AO. So far Kid is only tangentially related to the storyline. They should ask Gosho if it would ruin his master plan if they make a Kaito Kid four part episode/ 2 hour special. It couldn't hurt the ratings since Kid is well liked.

Maybe the anime people could solicit case ideas from fans; write an airworthy one and win a cameo in your case... Might be more work than it is worth though.

They don't even need to do an AO.  Just take a story from the Magical Kaitou manga, and randomly throw Conan in if need be.  There are quite a few that would be amazing, like Dark Knight and Goldeneye.

The ridiculousness and stupidity is the REASON why it's the best AO in 100+ episodes. The other ones are unoriginal, stupid in a much less fun way, boring or some combination of the three.

And as I've said before, the 2 part AOs seem to be much better.

And yes we need more Magic Kaito stuff in the anime. I personally want to see them attempt the 3rd chapter of Magic Kaito. Just because it could never happen in Conan's world.

I agree. Part one gave me high hopes for this two part special but that was destroyed quickly with part two. The comic relief took a huge nose dive and resorted to the same formula(involving Ran & Mouri) while the episode just felt like it was going through the motions. Then there was the very unbelievable event that all three suspects where present when Oomine made his declaration at the restaurant when Part One(which used the scene at least two times) never mentioned it.

Are you talking about the DB episode with the nice culprit who was essentially just repeating a well known crime by the book(no pun intended)???
That was a a horrible episode by any standards if you ask me. None of it made sense or even bothered to use any kind of logic. All the way from Haibara's cryptic one liners and her magically being present at the end(seriously, how did she even get there?) all the way to the DBs been asses because they where right(imagine if Conan was an ass to them every time he proved them wrong). I kept waiting for the part it turned out to be all a dream one of the DBs had after eating too much candy or something...

Sushi murder is in good timing here because... Kogorou is NOT in it.
They've got time to head hunt the next VA.

This 2nd part is lame because there are no telltale clues for viewers to deduct that Kanda is the killer -- the only clue available was the webpage stating Kanda's hobbies are model guns.
Who on earth would know if the dirt and detergent would still be on his shoes? And no viewers can ever know whether the blood matches his DNA. Momoko could fit in the culprit's profile if it hadn't for Kanda to show up with an injured hand.
A mystery case phails when viewers are not given enough info to solve it before the protagonist does. (Ellery Queen challenges readers to solve a case btw)

The story was fun, but really silly. It was completely given away who the killer was, because the Vice President was barely mentioned at ALL in either of the two episodes. I barely caught the info on his webpage.

I love the "Goooo" part, that was too funny.

The next episode, however, looks like it will be fun.

I was thinking about that the entire time, too. We should always come into the AO topics and conspire as to how it could have -really- went down, peeps. Momoko and Kanayama could've set up the entire scenario! :-X

I thought Conan was a little pathetic on this episode, but you can always tell when is an AO, he acts different  ;)

Probably not until next year.
