it'll never happen and would most likely be horrible if it did but I like this pairing for some reason despite not being a pairing fan.

I legit had a huge smile on my face while watching movie 5 with Mitsuhiko wondering if being in love with two people is bad. kawaii~ and other japanese words fangirls use!

I have to disagree on both accounts.  If Shinichi does find a way to permanently return adult form and to be with Ran (of which there is a high probability), I think there's a good chance Haibara will choose to stay young.  This is because the detective boys and the professor are the only family she has, so to return to being an adult would mean being alone.  And it's already being set up for them to end up together, as not only has Mitsuhiko fallen for Ai, but it's also shown that Ai does appreciate Mitsuhiko's protective and sacrificial manner.  I'm a big fan of the paring, personally.

Yes, If Haibara decides to remain young, they'll be a cute couple. Although, since Ai is a lot mature than Mitsuhiko, I wonder how they'll work out (if this is real)... LOL

hmm,even if he's a bit older ,i don't think it would work....Haibara has a very strong personality compared to Mitsuhiko(she uses sarcasmes and tease people a lot....XD)
sure she appreciates him(like she appreciates ayumi)but most of the time she uses him when she need something,because she know he would do anything for her since he loves her (like during the red,white yellow case in vol60) i always have imagined Haibara/Shiho with a man,who would be able to react and respond to her sarcasm,her provocations...but at the same time who would be able to bring  more sweetness in her life and love her until the end(that's why i think conan is good for her )
but the "relationship"between them isn't very interesting for me(i don't like when in a couple,one people take the lead and the other undergoes and obeys to everything,it's better when it's balanced in a couple,^^) well it's only my opinion(mitsuXai is like ayumixconan,ayumi is devoted to conan and Mitsu is devoted to Haibara )

anyway,i will not blame you for liking this couple(i also like ShihoxAkai , ShihoXOkiya and ShihoXGin for some odd reasons too,so i think liking a couple isn't based on logic )

I don't like this couple either. Haibara is too manipulative. If Haibara stays as a child, then either she will find later someone who can handle her personality (like conan) or her personality will slowly change a bit.

She can't have a real relationship with any of the kids in her kid form (too unnatural - also, think about all the lies and secrets), and if she returned to her adult form, she would probably have to be prosecuted for her involvement with the organization (unless the organization ceases to exist, leaving no traces behind that could link her to anything illegal *ahem* making poisons that have killed.. how many people already?)

Mitsuhiko has a schoolboy crush on her, that's cute.

But Haibara pretty much sees the kids as how a teacher or parent would see them.. so I imagine for her Mitsuhiko's crush is like "hot for teacher"

The difference is that with Shinichi, I'm pretty sure that once 1) the organization falls, and 2) he returns to his normal body, either 1) he'll tell Ran all about everything, or 2) he acts as if nothing happened (assuming Ran isn't involved with the former 1 and 2) - the amount of lying wouldn't be quite as much as would be needed for Haibara to cover up her former identity for decades if she was to age normally from her current state.

I may have phrased it awkwardly.  Definitely it would be the worst ending possible if she were arrested at the end.  I meant that if she returned to her adult form at the end, (barring death) she would have to disappear in order to avoid arrest.  The possibility exists that Eri could negotiate a deal for her to not get arrested if she testifies about the organization, but that'd be boring.

The way you put it you would only allow one single person in the DC universe to become her boyfriend. But I guess that is what you are aiming for anyway.

Of course he is still very young... but according to Gosho this is no big problem given enough time. Ran and Shinichi would be the prime example, together with all the other "relationships" of people knowing each other since a very young age and growing up to become "lovers".
And I wouldn't say he knows nothing about her either. Aside from the Professor and Conan there are no other people closer to her than the DB. They might not know her past but I think they know her personality quite well.
And I think not knowing about the BO is an advantage. I get the impression that Ai feels responsible to what happened to Conan because of her poison. Feeling guilty whenever you see someone is horrible and not beneficial for a relationship ("If my poison didn't shrink him he could be with Ran, the girl that he loves now. Instead he has to be with me."). Mitsuhiko - or anyone else - not having a connection to the BO would rather help her to get over her past and help her to slowly forget about the painful memories from her former live.
