funimation will be releasing uncut and unedited editions of the third and four case closed movies in December one right before and one (currently) right after Christmas thank heavens right stuff ships preorders as soon as the titles come in and also it's nice that funi will probably ship both movies to right stuff at the same time. I am excited about this and yes I do find it weired that they are releasing 3 and 4 two weeks apart however I think that funi is showing (finally) case closed some attention and love by the December release date.

I like the dub and watch it usually when it's on Funimation Channel but considering how Funimation usually does much better jobs at dubs (School Rumble and One Piece for example), people would buy those better dubs instead. Or be cheap and not buy anything, which is a shame since Funimation is pretty awesome (hell, if I wasn't such a gaming fan and/or was rich, I would buy a lot of Funi dubs).

Considering what this site is about (fan subbed Conan episodes), you really shouldn't be surprised that not many people here buy the Conan dub.

Ill probably watch it just to see how it is (i started out with the dub so I guess I have some nostalgic feeling for girly voiced conan XD)

I'm curious how they are dealing with the haibara..I mean "Anita hailey" part...Are they gonna dub that season? And did they get a new voice for her? If i remember correctly the voice actor was the girl who did Shin-chan, and talked like she smoked one too many cigarettes.

lol I know. I still hope that it was a stupid screw up with that weird European game and she'll sound like Eve from Black Cat, who was voiced by the same person. (which as pointed out at least twice, is the best voice for dub Haibara)

^What he said basically, and I own a lot of the releases aside from the Season 4 and 5 set. I've almost never seen dickery about people liking the dub; the Detective Conan doesn't have a snippy fanbase, for the most part. I've never gotten taunted. Only thing that holds me back from other dubs is my comic book/mystery and horror novel collecting, which is actually costlier than it sounds.

I thank the Funi Dub for getting me into DC, but I'll never go back now that I'm on the subs. My brother refuses to watch the Subs so we may get this anyways. Thanks for the heads up.

Well, I for one was just far too lazy to reply when you first posted this. I still need to pick up the first two movies as well, but it's awesome that they're releasing more of Conan for us! I definitely can't wait for movie 6 to be released though. That one is a day 1 purchase!

Meh. I'm waiting for a more official release date. No one's been able to give a source for these dates, other than some guy on animeondvd. Especially considering it has an unknown runtime? Just seems sketchy at best to me.

And yes, the box sets are dual audio with sub options.

like ginrei said the sets are dual audio and the movies are also dual audio, we might even get 5.1 surround on this release.

ooh, really? I never knew that! And they have english subs in em?..maybe those Case Closed DVDs are worth getting now 0_0

I'm just excited for a official sub release and to see how the characters in the series are in the dub. I can't say I like the dub, but hearing Haibara, Takagi, & Sato (As well as Sato's name) should be interesting.

Takagi = harry wilder. LOL.
Haibara = anita hailey.

Sato = (wild guess) Sally Mewark.

I wouldnt be surprised if her name was Sally really.
