Kogorou usually just provides comic relief via his prideful, drunken, lecherous buffoonery. When the series begins, he’s short on cash because he can’t get any work, and only Shinichi’s use of him to solve crimes has improved things for him. Every once in a while, however, he actually demonstrates that he can be a decent detective, most often in episodes involving Eri.

Speaking of which, those two usually provide “bickering coupleâ€

but yeah dude, Kogoro is one of my fave chars, because I know deep down hes an ace detective when he puts in his mind on it.  Anything to do w/ Eri he solves, which kinda proves that he loves her, since he goes so into depth into the case.  Also, Kogoro is a damn sharpshootah!!!

just give him a sniper rifle, hes prob better than Chianti and Korn!!! LOL

it would be good if he could swallow his pride, make amends with Eri and return to the police force, but that would take another 700 files, maybe
