Code Breaking!!
I was bored and decided to look for some word codes to decipher. So I looked up some..
I ran into one I couldn't solve, so I'm going to see if anyone here can get it. Good Luck!
These words follow a logical progression:
ABROAD
BLONDE
LANCER
ACCORD
CHORDS
Which of these could come next?
HARASS
HERPES
OLDISH
MARKER
Edit: I solved it after looking for a little bit more .. but go ahead and solve it if you please and I'll post some more for fun.

Re: Code Breaking!!
For the frist one I just see that the next word has as beginning letter the second letter of the word before.
But I just had a working session for 5 hours, so my brain is not working very fast.

Re: Code Breaking!!
I suppose it is harass, as current word has 1st, 3rd and 5th letters as the previous ones 2nd, 4th and 6th

Re: Code Breaking!!
Harass is correct! Now for a little bit harder one.
These words follow a logical progression:
TYPICAL
RAKE
LAMP
RUBBING
ON
LOW
RASPING
Which of these could come next?
DOUSE
ARBOR
BED
INANE

Re: Code Breaking!!
i doubt this is right but it is all i can think of
TYPICAL the C moves back 2 spaces and becomes the A in Rake
RAKE the K moves forward 1 space becomes the L in LAMP
LAMP the P moves back 2 spaces becomes N in Rubbing
RUBBING the M moves up 1 space and becomes N in On
ON the N back 2 spaces and becomes L in Low
LOW the O moves up a space to become P in Rasping
RASPING and finally the P moves back 2 spaces to become the N in INANE
INANE
its a constant pattern of back 2 spaces and up 1 and only works with inane. It was the best i can do

Re: Code Breaking!!
It sounds logical but what I'm not seeing is you pattern of deciding which letting to change. Also..
What's M is moving? There's not M in rubbing. It looks like you took it from Lamp. It was a good attempt, but I don't think it's right.JConan23 wrote: TYPICAL the C moves back 2 spaces and becomes the A in Rake

Re: Code Breaking!!
Ok, that might work, but I don't see what pattern you're following for which letter replaces which letter in the next. It seems relatively random.

Re: Code Breaking!!
It might be the right answer, but it's probably not the correct solution since it's not definitive.

Can we get a hint to figure the logic for the last one out?
