you can be happy or sad about this, personally I am very excited and can not wait.

I was originally going to post that this could only be a
good thing as it will only increase(hopefully) the American fanbase that doesn't have access to subs but then I remembered that this also will mean movies 3-6 will have to be pulled from fan sub sites,
.
So this one is a hard call as you want DC to get as much exposure as possible but at the same time you fear that Funi would just do another poor job with these movies.

the dub may be so so, but the subs will be great quality so.

Movie 3 is the first one with Haibara, though....and I don't think Funi has gotten around to introducing her.... Shouldn't they do that first? Or people will be going "What? Who is she? How did she get there?" and it won't make sense....

they have not because they have not liscensed the episodes with her appearance in them yet and might not ever license them. they think the intro in the movies is good enough for her apparently

I'm just pleasently surprised that enough people care that 10 people commented on it in ANN's own forum.
as I've said before, how Ai will be voiced in the dub will determine if Funimation deserves to make money from this dub ever.

Definately have a point there....hopefully they know better than to give her a voice actress that doesn't know what she's doing, like they did to Lina Inverse.

Unless you're talking about ADV's Lina, you're mistaken on multiple counts.

Well this is good news. This particular set of movies happen to have the best ones in the series, so these are the movies to release.

I can't wait, I love all of movies 3-6.
So, does this mean we'll have them all released by 2010?

that is many please guess is to have them all out by 2010 (one every 4 months). and have the movies be released, while they are dubbing season 6 so it will be out within the first half of 2011

They don't have the license to season 6. Only seasons 1-5 and the movies.
Also, don't expect movies more than once per 6 months or per year.
