That would be nice.... But I don't think DC is gonna end anytime soon, though. Although I want them to remaster all episodes, because I love the fillers as well.

I would be shocked if they did. Of course, in my opinion, there are a few cases that should become canon *cough* A Cursed Mask Coldly Laughs *cough*

probably depends on how many viewers will actually watch it and if its worth it or not

i mean they made DBZ kai because everyone is still crazy about dbz even after it ended like god knows when

I thought the point of Dragon Ball Kai was to celebrate its 20th anniversary.

yeah, but more likely than not it was sort of a decision of "hey, since it's our 20th anniversary, we can do something huge to get more money and not just look like we're milking the franchise"

if dbz wasn't as popular as it is, I doubt they would have still went through with Kai.

While i love every episodic shows like this. I definitely would like to see a series come out that only follows the important eps. it would be very fun to watch all the plot eps in a row rather than waiting 50+ eps for another :P

I don't really like that idea. What do you do with stuff like the Mermaid story? That story's BO link amounts to a few seconds and Conan himself dismisses the idea at the time. Heiji's speech about the positives of mortality is probably also relevant to the overarching story. However, the typical irrelevant murder mystery dominates the story. What do you do with stuff like how Ran actually became friends with Kazuha? That story had no obvious Org. link at all, but Kazuha didn't go from suspicious and jealous of Ran to liking her for no reason.

If you really want a story that's focused on developing the overarching plot, and want it to be coherent, in character development as well as Org. references, I think you'd need to rewrite the series, not just cherry pick the "important" stories.
