Conan gets three spin-offs and yet they still haven't adapted many of the stories from the Special Volumes which are on average much better than the fillers they come up with today (especially the early ones).

Kinda a waste, that... especially since those SV cases have been basically sitting right there begging for adaption for way longer than the modern trio. Goshō's staff/assistants handle the Special Volumes, too, right? If so, it'd be a nice way to show appreciation for them.
“Life is infinitely stranger than anything which the mind of man could invent. We would not dare to conceive the things which are really mere commonplaces of existence. If we could fly out of that window hand in hand, hover over this great city, gently remove the roofs, and and peep in at the queer things which are going on, the strange coincidences, the plannings, the cross-purposes, the wonderful chains of events, working through generations, and leading to the most outre results, it would make all fiction with its conventionalities and foreseen conclusions most stale and unprofitable.”

It's especially weird since two of the special cases were adapted back in the day. No idea why they just stopped. Of course, they also decided to do two different Magic Kaito adaptations in the span of a few years, so logic is not a requirement in these decisions.
