Friendly doesn't mean "love". I didn't notice that he might like her, he is friendly so no one can figure out his true identity, a camouflage. Ran is Shinichi's, and the only cute couple that Ran can make with someone is with him.

I find it somewhat hilarious that the anime version of Detective's Nocturne censored Amuro's accidental boob grab when he pulled Ran into the seat next to him. I kind of understand censoring gun violence or gory dead bodies, but it feels over-sensitive when already have Ran's towel falling off in the Red Woman Case.

I have a great name for this pairing : Amuran.

I think Kogoro would allow Ran to marry Amuro. In Kogoros eyes he is still better than Shinichi

Yeah, this still confuses me - people say Amuro grabbed her boob, but at most his fingertips barely brushed against her breast while grabbing her arm, at least that's how I saw it from reading the manga.

He's freaking 29...

Kogoro is a father, and if this love interest would be real Kogoro wouldn't allow it because of the age difference. Though, I believe that deep down he knows who Ran likes and whoever she'd chose, he'd try to respect her decision.

I don't know if 'being friendly' is part of his camouflage like @kouzoun said, but truth is, this doesn't mean that she could be his love interest. But yeah, I respect everyone's headcanons even though he is way older than her.
