Jodie-sensei

Post by rainexcvi »

I feel bad for jodie sensei :( akai broke up with her to be with akemi, tho it was just for front. but the fact that their feelings grew makes me sad for jodie.

then when akemi died, james said that akai became a new person (he became very mysterious) we all know that jodie loves akai to death. it just saddens me that the love she gives doesnt come back to her

If you look at her now, she's certainly been hit pretty hard. When she first appeared she was pretty upbeat, but events really took their toll on her and even in the anime she's just not the same anymore.

Though her being upbeat during the Vermouth arc was, at least in part, how she acted naive, and as a stereotype, as part of her cover.

And most of this downturn of which you speak was due to Shuichi apparently dying—now, she knows the truth.
“Life is infinitely stranger than anything which the mind of man could invent. We would not dare to conceive the things which are really mere commonplaces of existence. If we could fly out of that window hand in hand, hover over this great city, gently remove the roofs, and and peep in at the queer things which are going on, the strange coincidences, the plannings, the cross-purposes, the wonderful chains of events, working through generations, and leading to the most outre results, it would make all fiction with its conventionalities and foreseen conclusions most stale and unprofitable.”

Well she's not... very attractive... I can understand Akai for snubbing her LoL

Yes, but isn't Sera his sister?
So, it would be normal for him to be with unattractive woman...

What about his sister? Its not like Masumi isnt attractive, she's just tomboy-ish.
And I believe that this is not about looks, its just that Akai must think that loving is not for him or that he can hurt Jodie again because of work / personal reasons (Akemi related or not). We don't know.

Dating a partner in this kind of profession can also distract because of emotions, maybe he is also worried about professionalism.
