But thats not AO isnt that the Kogoro-Haibara case?

@k11chi: yes, but the Kogoro-Haibara case airs in June. This scan shows the June & early July schedule of the anime. Hence why it's posted in this thread as well.

If we assume that the anime is still supposed to be one year behind the manga, that should be it for now. Although the Ramen case was published in August and September 2015, the first encounter between Ran and Shinichi is still left, and that was published before the Ramen case. I guess that they’re planning to broadcast the flashback just before a fifty-second ending theme, maybe in late August or September.

But I agree: There are definitely too many anime originals, specially one-parters. I wish they would focus on two-parters; neither The Ventriloquist’s Illusion nor Kogoro’s Pursuit of Rage were too bad in my opinion, and I think that The Seven People in the Waiting Room could have been surprisingly good if they hadn’t abruptly ended it in that silly way. More two-parters and some two-parter remasters would have been much better than this giant wave of mostly absurd one-parters, and even the Japanese audience seems to think that.

Maybe they'll just skip it since they made an ending out of it, kind of like what they did with Kogoro the Fugitive which was basically OP23 until they adapted it years and years later. I'd say odds are pretty slim but who knows at this point.

I think they are saving Ran and Shinichi's first encounter for a 1 hr special or something..
