Netflix Adds Detective Conan Anime Streaming

Post by Kor »

As written in the ANN article:

http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/20 ... ing/.97124
Video distribution service Netflix is now streaming 52 episodes of Detective Conan. The series is not listed under the title "Case Closed" that has been used for other English releases of the anime and manga.

Netflix currently has episodes #748-#799. Crunchyroll began simulcasts for the anime with episode #754.

Since 1996, Detective Conan has been adapting Gosho Aoyama's manga of the same name about a brilliant teen detective trapped in a child's body. Funimation released the beginning of the television series on DVD in North America, and Viz Media publishes the original manga. Cartoon Network's Adult Swim programming block also ran part of the series.

It's listed as Detective Conan but has the CC logo.

Sources say 754+ are derived from CR subs.

Well...ok...

That's cool but my main hope was that it would be more than that. I don't think Netflix is what will get the remaining episodes available legally tbh.

It's on Hulu too, BTW. Along with some of Funi's stuff. The new stuff starts with the Red Woman case, same as Crunchyroll. They also have a couple of the movies. But I'll probably stick with Netflix just because. :D

The new episodes are for subscribers only on Hulu? Cause I don't see them on the free stuff.

Apparently. I probably should've mentioned that.
