Why there is no murder case requiring two people ?

Post by Oxynou »

As far as I remember, there is not a single case where the trick to kill someone needed two people.
When I speak about an accomplice, I do not speak about cases like The Indiscriminate Stadium Threatening Case(ep 130-131) where the "accomplice" was more like a pawn and the real culprit was the cameraman.
What do you think ? :)

hmm.... Interesting question. Right now I can't come up with anything. Sometimes there is two people arrested when one has tried to cover up the other one but I don't recall any with two equal culprits...

Not many cases would actually Require two people. They'd probably all turn out like the case with the twin culprits.

I do not ask for a lot of cases including two culprits, of course not many cases would require that ,but in 88 Volumes I don't understand why Gosho didn't try this scenario.
Adding two people could give a breath of fresh air to the Manga : more difficults cases, more motives... I'm not a writer but i think there are other manners to use an accomplice without using him as an alibi. (Twin culprits)

Oh it would be difficult alright.. It's not just Gosho that doesn't use multilple culprits and for a good reason. The case is usually supposed to be solvable.

I think the reason might be that it would increase the length of the arc. Not that it would be a bad thing, however having two culprits means that Conan would need to come to conclusion that the crime is impossible with just 1 person, and two of them are needed. Also this would need a few more witnesses than three, and their testimonies should contradict or be perfectly in sync, so Conan will be able to come to conclusion that something is off and perhaps some witnesses are cooperating with each other.
