In case you aren't sure, here is how the poll works. The options are listed as (1) : (2). The first name (1) is the person you prefer to be paired with Shinichi or Conan, and the second name (2) is the person who you think will be the "final-official-canon" pairing regardless of whether you like it or hate it. For example, if you like Conan x Ayumi, but think that Shinichi x Ran will be the final pairing, you would vote for "Someone else: Ran". If you don't have a favorite pairing with Conan/Shinichi, choose one of the "I'm neutral" options. If you like two equally and it would tear your heart in half to choose, then pick one of the "I'm neutral" or the "none of the above" options. You can change your vote if you mess up or change your mind.

The reason why I created this topic despite there being several Ran vs. Shiho topics already is because I wanted to see a poll which separated out favorite pairing vs. what people think will be the official pairing. Previous polls also had limited options; this one has options for neutrality and for inconclusiveness.

I don't hate Ran, but I support ShihoXShinichi all the way.

Though, I think I know the official ending will be RanXShinichi, and I don't mind that anymore.

I'm a ShinRan shipper, but have the oddest feeling that he'll never get his old body back and wind up with no one at all...

I think Ran:Ran, at this point I can't see it going down any other way. I really feel bad for Shiho though cause I think she likes him. (but again as long as Takagi and Satou end up together its all well and good  )

although im ShinchixRan all the way, i wouldnt mind AixConan if the plot was done very well.

btw that 'someone else' in the poll can pretty much be only Ayumi right? unless u think Sonoko can be a potential candidate lol

With that said I'm neutral and I think he'll go with Ran.  I hope she breaks his arm <3.

I almost decided not to, but went ahead and did it anyway because you can't stick a poll in another topic... I did notice that a lot of the older relationship threads have had recent activity and decided it might not be a bad time for a new one. Also, I like polls with lots of options, and none of the other relationship threads with polls have options for apathy and uncertainty. I did it because I care about people who don't!
I voted neutral by the way because I like both ShinichixShiho and ShinichixRan; however, the romance is of nominal importance when compared to the mysteries. I'm hoping lots of people who like Conan x Ai vote because I'm curious to see what they think the final pairing will be. I'm kinda surprised that no one has picked one of the favorite pairing is Shinichi x someone else options yet. I figured there would be a few kid or heiji shippers lurking around.

I've always thought that there might not be a cure (evidence suggests so). This leads me to think that Conan will have to let Ran know when he is a little kid (or show that Shinichi and Conan are the same person)... OR one of the smaller girls can grow up with Conan and they'll be lovers.

I´ve always supported ShinichixRan relationship, I can´t imagine Shinichi going out with another girl and Ran forgetting about Shinichi.

I really like them and wish them to be together.

I'm a Ai X Conan/Shiho X Shinichi fan but the ending is probably gonna be ShinichiXRan.....=C

I support Shinichi x Ran but Conan x Ai

While it's entirely possible that Ran and/or Shinichi could be killed (or unable to recover in age), it seems unlikely, and that's the only thing I can think of that would prevent an ending with them as a full on couple.

That said, I think it's very clear that Conan has feelings for Ai, and it's a stronger bond certainly than with many others, but I don't think it's something stronger than his feelings for Ran.  Ai, from what I can see, seems like she's in love with Conan, but recognizes Shinichi and Ran's feelings for each other, so will do what she can to support him both in that, and obviously in general.  A non-selfish type of love.  Conan might love her... but I think it's more "like a brother" and the "really close friend" type, also willing to sacrifice for her.  Such that if he had to choose between saving Ai or Ran, he'd either go after the one he thinks is in the most danger first, or try to save both at the same time.  That's the sense I get from it. 

I don't really support any particular pairings myself, but so long as they don't pull the character in a really random direction (unlikely due to how much character development has gone into him over the years)... I'm fine with it.
