This Opening...what is this? What is this?! I...um...wow...um...you know I understand it's hard to make this series look interesting with an Opening, but I think they might be trying way too hard to look EPIC in a very...nonsensical way. I don't necessarily mean this in a bad way either, but it's kinda so ridiculous it's good. It makes hang glider Conan look normal.
Honestly it makes me want to watch a Zero Escape anime more than anything.
I was worried everyone would have to pretend this guy was funny.
It's a single sentence only but I like Kogoro being excited at this case going in an interesting direction.
I know this is an AO, because the skateboard actually appeared (and also because it was used for as short a time as possible). :V
I like how Yamamura's long-lost brother came out of nowhere to hand-out convenient tissues.
I kinda liked this case. Mostly just because the culprit is such an asshole. Like...wow. We rarely get asshole culprits like this, and I almost immediately kinda wanted to hate him, so I was glad I got what I wanted. Even though this was one of the most obvious cases in a while, I appreciated where it went.
Number of songs from 2007 soundtrack: 3

I'll confess that the most recent opening is my guilty pleasure of all openings ever in DC.

I love the smooth colors in this opening, it's way different compared to the nigh-plastic figures of late 20s and early 30s. Nigh because Toei Animation already did perfect the Plasticus with their terrible animation.

Ah, so this is when Mai Kuraki ruined my love for her openings. at least 15 weeks of this horror so far :< :V
On topic: The first half of this case was actually interesting enough to watch, but as soon as the episode ended something just said "Nope" and the rest of the case was...*I can't think of the right adj* and basically I did not like where it went :V

Are we talkign about Dynamite? If so I want to point out how Ran is reduced to Damsel in Distress slash Magical Girl. It's quite interesting actually.
All in all the opening was fine until Ran became the main thing and the doors went flying.... No, I need to rephrase that.
I liked the scene where Conan went past the doors with his skate board and his allies were in front of them. It was well done. I also liked the scene were Shinichi's form came behind Conan to kick the soccer ball. Otherwise meh... But the song was okay I think. At least it fit the visual.

I'd like to launch a Dodompa at Dodompa.

Which means it would fit perfectly for nearly any of the movies!
I was actually gonna make this joke so I might as well. I'm assuming Ran was taken out of this episode to be re-educated on how to be a dependent girlfriend. Writers must be worried that some of her recent appearances has had her have somewhat of a personality beyond that again. :V

For anyone who didn't get the joke...
This attack in Dragon Ball is called a Dodompa:
