Meh, might as well. I've seen this rumor before and it's still kinda interesting to me. I think it might be true, just because of other insane dub ideas that came from this era (and not just from 4kids). It would at least partially suck sure but being on during 2000 could've been great for Conan's USA anime relevancy.

Also, I would love to see an alternate universe where Mouri Kogoro was known here as "Slick Lacey". This would make me so happy, though I'm undecided if that's a compliment.

It could have gone differently even under Funi's watch. They almost hired Nathan M. Johnson to rescore it, but kept the original BGM and put him on Dragon Ball Z Ultimate Uncut Edition instead.

the idea of changing the music to Detective Conan offends me so much. I was gonna say I wanted to see a 4kids Conan and think we could get some a bit endearing (because this was before 4kids made dubs that were partially unlistenable) but changing the music is the worst idea.

I mean, I made an entire running gag of sorts of counting the bgm because I was worried the original series was gonna abandon its own soundtrack so this would be a big deal to me. :p

That would be the ongoing storyline of Super Detective Boy Connery. You know how 4kids made Popo blue and gave the One Piece characters toy guns? Lol

Conan with all references to death removed… 90% of the show wouldn't make the cut, lol.

Heh, they'd prolly trim it down to just some random Detective Boys AOs.
