- Hajime Kindaichi (he did do one for Koichi Zenigata and Oreki Houtaro, so why not?)
- Batman

I'd like a hard-boiled detective inspired from True Detective or some similar series. Inspector would be good enough also I guess.

There are many who are from TV shows and movies
And that Kindaichi isn't the same, that's Kosuke Kindaichi.

Yeah well I doubt that Kindaichi is going to appear there if the original one is there already but would be cool if Gosho added some of the finnish inspectors like from Ilkka Remes's books, Johanna Vahtera (In the Name and Blood), there. I read a couple of his books and they deal with global investigations and different kinds of problems and the stories are really hard-boiled with alot of cursing and other nonsense.
Although I'm not going to recommend the novels for anyone since the kickoff for each story is kind of stale and he only uses the first part (5 pages) to introduce the characters and the death and connections etc.
Volume 84 is from a swedish series I need to check that out. That's the country right next to Finland and a huge chunk of people in southern finland speak swedish only.
Wow "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" sounds like it's on some other level. I'll start that next week if the library has the book.
