Time indicators in Conan

Hi guys. I've always wanted to know how many months have passed since Shinichi became Conan. I know Ran said, in file 882 (Aquarium Murder Case), that it's been less than a year since Shinichi "left". Do we have more time indicators ?
I remember that James Black said Akemi died "months ago", or something like that. Does someone know in wich file it was ?
Sorry again for my bad english, english isn't my native language. ^^'

OK thanks. Do you know when James Black said that Akemi had died "several months ago"?

I'm not sure how long it's actually been "Gosho time" but I know not even a year has past. Although someone did the math a while ago and it should be about a year and a half now?

What are you guys talking about? Time does definitely pass in DC. I don't remember which episodes they were, but in a few of them there were calendars/watches with the current date displayed. And it was the month of the episode's airing. What's more, there have been several winters and summers already. So, time does pass, but nobody ages.

I would also like to add that everyone in DC currently has an iPhone, and their cell phones changed throughout the series. This is definite proof that time passes normally. I mean they wouldn't be able to get iPhones in 1996, right? So, it must be 2014 in DC currently.

*Brings this up as others before her did*

Just because everything is updated so the kids can understand what's going on does not mean time is passing normally.

tying in with the comic book time Jecka brought up, Gosho has to update the technology to keep the tricks/the series relevant. It's modern technology but still 'about a year' since Shinichi shrank

Love going from floppies and brick phones to SD cards and tablets in a year. Ah comic book time xDD

(back to that article though, DC is actually used as an example under the Anime/Manga tab. I lol'd xD )

You know you've watched too much Detective Conan when you see it listed in a trope page and you have the exact same reaction as "Look, that's me on TV!"

I just try not to think about it too hard. After all, this series takes place over less than a year, yet there have been two seperate Valentines Days. (I know one was episode six, but I'm not sure about the second.)

The first Valentines Day is anime original so it doesn't counted. But I agree about try not to think about it too hard

The author draws whatever season is out the window and I suggest you keep doing that nonthinking if you decide to count filler...

Conan exists in a time warp. It's whatever season or month Gosho wants it to be for the story he wants to tell at a given time. Pretty much all you gotta know is it's been "less than a year" from when Conan shrunk to the latest case.
