At the end of episode 500 after conan's hint, the voice of Shuichi Akai was heard saying that the DEtective conan has reached its midpoint meaning there will be episode 1000.

Be thankful if it does not goes beyond that.

It most likely will though. Only 4-4.5 more years of manga content and we'll basically be close to 1000 episodes.

We will get 1000 manga chapters (around 2 years from now) and we will get 1000 anime episodes. I just hope episode 1000 isn't a random AO.

... It was the halfway point for the BO part of the clash series of episodes, not the entire freaking series. The hospital part of the clash started on episode 495 and Akai was "killed" in 504.

While I don't doubt Conan will reach 1000 episodes, the animators don't have a crystal ball that predicts Gosho's future.

Conan will most likely get to 1000 files. Frankly, it's too close now for it to not. Beyond that, we have no idea.

As someone who has been fan from early days, I've learned my lesson of not trying to predict when it will end. It will end when Gosho decides he doesn't want to draw anymore, that's pretty much it. Now I just get amused at any prediction of when it will end.

It'd be amazing if it ends at chapter 1000 because that'd be around the time Gosho becomes Agasa's, but yeah, it all depends on what Gosho plans are

Every time someone's asked, 'When will Conan end?', I tend to say, 'Probably in about 5 years time', but I've been sticking around Conan for something like 16 years now and I definitely said, 'Probably in about 5 years', 10 years ago!

It'll hit 1000 episodes for sure!

I think I said "maybe it's starting to end" around file 500. How wrong I was XD
